Does anybody here familiar in pubic bone pain?
I am 29+ weeks pregnant, and i am experiencing tenderness and pain down low in the front as it hurts to walk, roll over and stand after seating for a long time. Anyone else have this problem? I already informed my doctor but she's telling me that its normal as the baby is going down at this stage.
Please advise what can i do to lessen the pain?
At some point, I have to agree with you, that sometimes they do make mistake so we need to have a second opinion. yes?
anyway, nice chatting with you and thanks for all the knowledge you shared this evening. i have to go to bed soon girl.
It's great 2 b loved!
Mystica, theres my point exactly, you had a second opinion because the first doctor was wrong.......I don't generalise doctors but my 17 year experience with them gives my point credibility wouldn't you say?....

I have trusted my Doctor Puzzet from Germany in Oman for my 2 pregnancy before that I had Filipina Dra. Fajardo told me, I have problem with Rubella and she scares me and my husband with her report but my German Doctor said "NO" that's not true and Thanks "God" she was wrong. so please don't generalized doctors. Thank you!

mmmm unfortunately they don't employ 'midwives' as such in this country, I mean properly trained that are basically doctors as far as I'm concerned......again, please do not assume that doctor knows best, sometimes they don't.....

to add to this, I have a friend who spend her pregnancy for 9 months in bed as her body was paralyzed during pregnancy. now, this is not normal but the doctor says she's very delicate and after the baby was born she was fine! different cases happens but at the end of the time we should trust our doctors as they are trianed for that.

I had this pain through out my pregnancy with my son for almost 9 months! and im conctantly sick, i was bed ridden for almost 9 months, whew! so glad that's all finished!
"Sorry cesmarjaf, your comment is bull****......do not necessarily trust your doctor they are not always right, I can tell you categorically that if a baby is engaging at 29 weeks that is totally abnormal. If the doctor didn't explain what this common condition was then if I were you I would find another doctor......

if your doctor said that its normal, well trust him/her statement. and also ask your doctor for the pain you are having. so its safe for you. Your doctor knows best!
Good luck!
AND, thinks thats normal!!

a baby should not be descending at 29 weeks! what you have is called diastisis of the symphysis pubis, common problem......physiotherapy can help with this to a certain extent.....it won't get better until the baby is born either or having said that in the post natal period either.....google it.....I would worry that your doctor thinks a baby is engaging at 29 weeks though!!

I wish I can advice you but my kids are already grown up, my son is now 11 years old and my daughter is almost 9 years old already. but I seems to remember there was pain as the baby is growing, so it tend to pull your tummy forward and it does gives pain on your back. It's normal nothing to worry.

tnx for the replies. sure i will do all your advices later at home.
It will be like this from here on, but u can wear support undergarments, and also keep a flattish pillow under yr belly when lying down....Try a hot-water bottle in the small of yr back, it feels gud,whn yr sitting down watching tv and all...and i dont suppose u can stand up suddenly after sitting down for long, coz by this time, u wd be kind of sitting reclined, rite? so just brace yrself and take the support of a chair/someones hand whn u get up...and i rem. i used to kind of massage my belly and will the baby to move away to another spot..lol!u cd try tht! best of luck.
