Yes, the beaches are nice, and also not so crowded. As for the roads, maybe you right, it is one of the reasons that we do not go over there so often.

But just wait till the roads are finished, Dukhan will be 1 hour away and the beaches will resemble another scene from days gone by...............Blackpool beach!!!!!!

Yes but we have the best beach to make up for it. The dreadful road is in fact a conspiracy created by the locals here to stop you city dwellers visiting too often. We go out at night and dig it up.

haha - JJ very true, we once went to Dukhan, stayed overnight at a friends house, our host made animals, hats and fruit baskets from balloons and had a Bay City Roller CD I swear .......... freaky over there man!!!!:-)

Just been outside, it's stopped now. Oh well, better to have had and lost than never had at all.

It's finally reached Dukhan!!! We are always a bit behind the times out in the sticks.  We still wear flares and have fondue parties.

It's 2:49 in Duhail and nothing up here.  Nothing happening except for the daddy's lining up at the QU traffic light to pick up their dd (darling daughter) from Qatar University.

But the outside tiles all look soaked.  When I walked across the outside tiled area, it felt like walking on an alien planet (that alien invaders has just attacked).

Nothing, absoloutely bloomin nothing in Dukhan. Please send it up here. It's boiling and dry. Nothing ever reaches here...
