I wouldnt recommend living out of a hotel long term for your mother in law, this would be just an option if you need somewhere to stay for two or three months and didnt want to sign a yearly lease...
why dont you try some hotels for long term accomodation, their prices are very competitive when you rent for two or three months as opposed to nightly... the closest their would be le cigale or ramada..its an option, considering apartment building are very cheap..
