Suicide Bombings - Passport 2 Heaven or Hell?

Suicide Bombings?

"...So what we hold is that those people who perform these suicide (bombings) have wrongfully committed suicide, and that this necessitates entry into the Hellfire, and Allah's refuge is sought; and that this person is not a shahid (martyr)..."

- Shaykh Muhammad Bin Salih al-Uthaymin, Saudi Arabia

Shaykh al-Uthaymin says, "Indeed, my opinion is that he is regarded as one who has committed suicide, and as a result he shall be punished in Hell, for that which is authenticated on the authority of the Prophet (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace),

"Indeed, whoever (intentionally) kills himself, then certainly he will be punished in the Fire of Hell, wherein he shall dwell forever." (Hadith al-Bukhaaree (no. 5778))

And from that which is surprising, is that these people kill themselves despite Allah having forbidden this, as He said in the Quran:

"And do not kill yourselves. Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you." (Quran 4:29)

And many from amongst them do not desire anything except revenge upon the enemy, by whatever means, be it halal (permissible) or haram (forbidden). So they only want to satisfy their thirst for revenge.

We ask Allah to bless us with foresight in His religion and action(s) which please Him. Indeed, He is all-Powerful over all things."

Moderation is shown by the faith

But people use their own common sense as a benchmark of considering what is moderate which is wrong

I mean what is the use of having a benchmark if what u aim at is higher or lower.

succeed in preventing the spread of extremist ideology. Extremist groups preaching a form of quasi brotherhood - are just cynical zealots trying to propagate their own interpretations of the quran........... I for one am sick of the press devoted to such groups and welcome the rise of the moderate muslim .

I actually feel a bit of pity for the bombers, that they've been led so astrat and so much has gone wrong in their life that they think killing themselves and others is a good idea.

I sometimes wonder if a lot more people are involved in leading these people astray. Keeps the wars going and keeps the budgets rolling dosen't it.

On the other hand, i sometimes also think about how the rich - poor divide is increasing, uneven and unfair income distribution which leads to frustration which can be exploited by the people who sort of mentor the suicide bombers.

Ok, about a specific region in the world, i think that there was so much suffering due to war being imposed upon the people of that area for decades, that people may have started thinking that  with probability of death high in anycase, why not earn something for the family by blowing up themselves and getting paid (perhaps).

Am i a conspiracy theorist or what :)

in anycase, i think the blame lies with just the powerful nations of the world and big corporations of the world. They created this imbalance - not because of their ignorance - but because of their greed.

Abu american..

alot of Qlers fight with the scholars unless it agrees with their own opinion position. Amazing isn't it!

It is also well known that scholars who lead the people astray will be in the lowest depths of hell fire! And God knows best their situation.

Abu American may be able to confirm to the 3 people in the lowest depths.

I believe the first 2 are

the ruler who was oppressive

the scholar who lead people astray

Could someone correct me if I am wrong.. And tell us the third one please.

Regardless of religion, whatever it is, we all know that God gave us this life, and ration/logic tells us that it is His, not ours to take, it was just lended to us temporarily in this world, which means He is the only one who has the right to take it from us for all reasons, not ourselves.

suicide is suicide, regardless of the motive, its the same as stealing. you took what is not yours to take

The distinction between Jihad of the sword & a Suicide bombing is that in the Jihad u kill first and then die and in a suicide bombing u die first and then if u r lucky others - LOL!
