i'm a mac fanatic, it works very smoothly and the design is beautiful, it doesnt have all the faults that a PC has, less viruses less malfunctions plus much better graphics.
Dandy it is best to use an external drive for backup, The price in not very costly and besides it Gives you an opportunity to put the Time Machine of Mac to use.
yap. the rumor says it on june 9th. but still we dont know yet if its for sure. :D
well about the third partiton, i need the third one to backup my files. because if anything bad happen, i can always retrieve my files if i will restore the first partions.
the second one is for the windows because i need independent OS that will not share MAC so that the speed is more reliable.
No Dandy, I have not tried it. I don't like to pollute my Mac. But I am sure multiple partitions with BootCamp is possible, There are many users who claim to have them on their Macs.
you don't have to give me your number just to convince me w/ this Mac thing....he!he!he!...I think I'm convinced alright and poor me, I don't like to
play computer games frankly:( My son, a potential graphic designer has been convincing me to buy him one. So many heads are better than one I guess. Well thanks a lot Macky and I'm sure someone got your number already...hmmm.:)
Dandy, For Bootcamp to be activated you need to have a disk with single partition to start with. So if you have more than one partition, backup the data on the other partition and delete it so you have a single partition. ( you can delete and resize partitions without rebooting in Leopard) After having a single partition run the Bootcamp utility to do the needful.
Now fortunately there is a hack for everything including activating bootcamp on multiple partitions but this is unsupported. In case you would like to try then have a look at http://www.newartisans.com/blog_files/89eaccc5744b7474f4b95e35b8304847-34.php
I switched to mac in 2002..it was very new to me.but now i love it coz of friendly user interface.Mac platform is more stable than the Windows..less crash, Fast, quality graphics and simple to use..
Mac has proven that it is more stable and powerful than a PC.
"How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, tolerant of the weak. Someday you will have been all of these."
been thinking lately....maybe I'll consider your...'opinion on MAC'.hmm...my son been asking me of this since he's on graphics & multimedia..well..well.
i totally agree with dandy..MAC has its own plateform where it is stable with all the softwares and drivers..thats y wen u use MAC you feel relax..not much handing..suppports every thing..easy updates..free from virus..
well I don't know really, I think Its only Os X only, cause it doesnot say panther, tiger or leoprad or any other animal on startup...hehe.....not good in technical knowledge...
well afaque...i really agree with u..MAC is so easy to use..im using mac for last 5 years..i used to use pc b4 but wen i switched to mac i loved it. at office i have mac G4 power pc and at home im using MAC MINI..easy to use easy to install programs and hardwares..free of virus..amazing computer..
well dandy, I am not a pro in mac as I too have not beein using it for long. I have a pc at home and a mac in the office for graphic design works, but still will try to help you in any way I can. but to inform you that at the technical side I am zero be it mac or pc...
my friend bought a mac pro just this wednesday and he dont know how to use it so i install all the apps he need.. (and take note, this is my first time to open a Leopard Os. and im loving it. it very easy and friendly to use.)
i also configured bootcamp for him (going to change it to vmware fusion maybe 2mrw..)
you are right djkiller, unless anyone has used mac, they won't realize how easy it is and way powerful in performance than any pc..No doubt Pc might have a greater market share but professionally cannot beat Mac

I use a Mac.
You can have both OSX and Windows
Price wise it's definately worth it (Try to find a PC with the price of a Mac and it probably wont look nice or wont have the exact same specs.
In OSX it's reliable, has never crashed, looks nice, and has MOST used PC programs.
Those who say that 'PC's' have more apps, when are you going to use Super Pie man designer beta 4? All the main progs work better on a mac.
Look at MS Office on OSX! It's amazingly great.
