Women Drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KellysHeroes
By KellysHeroes

Driving to the office this morning on the M25 motorway, I looked over to my right and there was a woman in a brand new BMW doing 90 miles per hour with her face up close to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner!
I looked away for a couple of seconds and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane still working on that makeup!
It scared me (and this coming from a bloke....) so much that I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the bacon roll out of my other hand.
In all the confusion of trying to straighten up the car using my knees against the steering wheel, it knocked my mobile from my ear, which fell into the coffee between my legs, causing it to splash and burn BIG JIM AND THE TWINS, causing me to scream, which made me drop the cigarette out of my mouth, ruined my shirt and DISCONNECTED AN IMPORTANT CALL.

Bloody Women Drivers!!!!!!!

I actually have a holder in the car for the coffee, I don't want to burn my family jewel, good thing I don't smoke and don't wear make up otherwise I would have accidents no end.

Cars are useful for all kinds of things now aren't they. lol

Yes Canarybird.  I read it as an implication that women wearing abayas were bad drivers :)

Oh dear, I hope you are OK after your prang.  How is the poor red light?  Salamaat habibti.

It is a totally unnecessary comment, btw I see many people with phones and telephones in there hands.

I always pay attention in the car but yesterday I drove my car straight into the red light and stopped in the middle of the road - oh the shame as I am always so careful.

Was honey's comment irrelevant?

I do think bad driving practices (ie on the phone/weaving in and out of lanes) and social group (age/gender/language) should be investigated....

then education can be targeted to the correct group in the correct language.

not niqab, i tried this once and drive, since that i always let them pass me first. I cant really see things.. but this woman was talking on the phone..and doing zigzag 5 meters infront of me..

By anonymous• 21 Apr 2008 13:44

This is your own fault for letting this happen and wanting someone to chauffeur you around when you are bar hopping. By the way women are much better drivers anyway they drive with logic. Let a man behind the wheel and he bcomes and animal!!!!! lol lol lol lol

Er, no honey, I'm not hurt...why would I be?  Strange that you would think that.  And what has this to do with being Muslim?  Your comment that she was wearing an abaya is irrelevant to the way she was driving unless she was wearing it over her head and couldn't see.  Perhaps you meant that she was wearing niqab (face covering) and you thought this had impaired her driving.

Diamondgirl..you really get hurt when i said the girl was wearing abaya dont u? I was just picturing them at that time...anyway don't mean anything though..But she really nasty! shouting at me without reason..i'll be ashame of my abaya if i do the same like her. In my country, 90 percent of population is moslem, and me too in fact. We really respect hijab and abaya and so on..but to wear it we really need to be ready to be a better person..not the one that shouted at people saying "sharmuta"

Formatted soul...there has been no mention of driving and the veil on this thread.  An abaya was mentioned.  This is a long length coat and does not impair driving ability.  Furthermore this thread is about multitasking while driving.

I admit in my younger days I was guilty of putting on make-up while driving but skidding into a ditch during a snowstorn while multi-tasking behind the wheel miraculously cured me of this affliction.

I am sure the Qatari boys think the same whilst they are arranging their Ghutra in the Rear view mirror....

Have you noticed how the RV mirror is often vertical and not horizontal in Land Cruisers????

What kind of mental medication are you taking lately? Could you share some of it with me?   Don't tell me you just stain the seats of that nice looking honda accord?  It must be your age with lots of shaking.    I want to be English!

One of my colleagues (a local woman) is an amazing driver. She drives with a cigarette and cell phone in one hand will spraying herself with perfume with the other. She usually has a coffee perched within reach and she never turns her head. Just looks straight ahead and puts her foot down.

Just call me Tigasin. That's what I'm talking about
