Getting Married in Qatar
By roseoflove4u •
I am holding Egyptian nationality & Moslem, wants to get married from a Greek woman in Doha, what are the procedure and the requirements to get that done?
I will appreciate if somebody can tell me what I can do?.
Mabrook.
If your bride to be is not switching religions, you simply visit your embassy and request for a civil marriage ceremony. Very simple.... They will conduct the same in the embassy and then you can proceed with your own party elsewhere....
The embassy will ask for various documents ahead of time. You will then receive two or 3 original marriage certificates. Your bride can register at her embassy (if their is one here). Nevertheless, a civil marriage is accepted worldwide...
If you are marrying under Shari'a law, I am not really sure of the proceedures. You can visit them and I expect they can advise you on what you need.
" Beauty comes from within"
First thing, both of you should produce a single status certificate, for sure that is the first requirement, then you can go to the next step
think Sharia Court will be bothered if he is Egyptian.
That was what they told my ex- son-in-law and he's Tunisian.
They said they were only bothered about Qataris.
Best to ask at your embassy
both of you guys have to obtain “certificate of non-impediment”, which is a letter from your embassy that you and specially your fiancee are free to marry i.e. never been married before or divorced. You have to check with your embassy, what are requirements for obtaining this letter … Canadian Embassy issues this letter based on your word that you are free to marry, and that currently you are not married to anyone else
..then go to the court!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! and GOOD LUCK!
