Are there bazaars held in Doha?
When I was in Riyadh, i used to enjoy going to bazaars that were organized by expat communities. these were usually held every Fridays. some bazaars sold 2nd hand items, some had handicrafts (quilts, embroidered stuff, etc), woodcraft (from Kenya), VHS tapes (when DVDs were still not available). there were a lot of choices...
I wonder if any of the expat communities organize this kind of community gathering in Doha. I loved going to these bazaars (they used to be called Winter , Spring and Summer Bazaars)...
I myself had a booth selling silver jewelry from Thailand.
Does anyone know? Perhaps we should start sometime ...Paging the american and other european communities.... as well as the rest of the expat population. It doesn't really matter what nationality....however, the American Women's Association in Riyadh were the pioneers back then.
for bazaars....the Filipino community organizations will be holding one sometime on June. I'll probably post the exact date & venue soon. Hope to see U there

ladies tuesday group will hv their table top sale in May ... but wont be a big one.
