Qatar Embassy?

I know the imigration process in qatar is a pain, but can any part of the
immiagraion process be done at the Qatar embassy in the US before my families
arraival.

Mind you, my company's sponsor will sponsor my wife and I but not our
child (6-month old). Is there any thing we can do ahead of time at the Qatar
Embassy in the US to get ahead of the game or at least save some time.

If you all want to come together, you can get a tourist Visa (on arrival or through a hotel in advance) for your wife and baby and once your RP is in place, then you can change their Visas as well (no need to exit the country).

Once you reach doha & have resident permit, thereafter you can sponsor your child coming here. It's not that complicated, you can process it here in Qatar, once you have valid papers & you comply with all the requirements it will not take much time to get the approval.

then I don't think that the qatari embassy in Washington can help you anyhow... it's all should be done by PRO of your company... you better push your Company to finalize the process asap...that's all you can do....
