Hm, so if you ask for a discount at Home Center they give it to you? I didn't know that! I can see they've got something that if you buy with a CBQ card you can pay in 6 months, interest free. I'd rather get a discount, though!

If you are in doha just now there are sales on at Home centre yuo can check there for a good deal and if you buy more perhaps get a good discount.

Buy good matresses for your beds this pays in the long run. Second Hnad market is in Najma and you can find a lot of things there.

Also on QL many people are selling of furniture - Fridges, TVs ect. but the illusion that you can but anything nowadays for QR 20 -50 or less is over especially if you are looking for a sofa set and bedroom furniture mai nthing is to bargain.

Check out QL classifieds you will see a lot of things on offer.

I went to the souq but the mattresses were not great, so I decided against it. I didn't find bedroom suites for 3k, perhaps you got a nice sale.

I am furniture shopping right now. These are the lowest prices I have found for decent new furniture. All in Qatar Riyal. This will at least give you an idea. For a family you would need bigger appliances. Good luck!

- refigererator 331 litres, small stove, washer dryer combo - 3500

- master bedroom furniture suite 3000,

- new orthopedic matress from the souq 400

- living room couch and 2 chairs or couch, chair and loveseat 3500

put aside 30 to 50QR. if you prefer good 2hand furniture ( which is abundance & are mostly in very good quality here) it will be much less...
