qtel

lamea

I recently moved to a new home and since there has been a problem wth the mozaic, adsl as well as cable, and at times the tel line has disturbance too! my numerous complaints for the past two weeks  have been falling on deaf ears and now i have applied for cancellation of this service.

What has really bothered me is problem in landline connectivity! Last week i tried to call my parents who were visiting my sister in muscat and i constantly got connected to wrong numbers even though i had dialled the correct numbers. This happened five times in a row on five different numbers, which cant have been a coincidence! i thought there was a problem with muscat lines but again this week i faced the same problem.  Sometimes i got connected to a fax machines and often to some wrong numbers. It is quite frustrating  and expensive, especially when u have something important to talk about, that too on an international number!

Even local mobile calls havent been clear. At times we hear strange voices as if we are connected to a third party!

Am i the only one or is there anyone else who is experiencing this? Any q tel officials here who can explain this?

i have experienced the same with cell phones

Also

the reception at raslaffan is very poor. eventhough  you are in an

open ground with no buildings etc to cut out the signals......

does it cost too much for qtel to improve their services

The vision was different....

UAE had done it yesterday for today....Qatar is doing it today for today!!!...;)

Qatar had the potential of making itself a hub same as UAE(Dubai)...but we were too late...

How ever things are getting changed...

Qqatar keeps insisting they are at pace with Dubai but unfortunately it isnt true.

Four years ago i moved to UAE and got an etisalat telephone set on connection, which i used for two years there without trouble. Last year , when i moved here i received a normal telephone set for my landline and its poor quality was evident from the start. It didnt last for more than a month and since i have replaced it with the old etisalat telephone and using it since!!!!!!!

The cable vision in Uae was also excellent not to mention their prompt service. If they can do it why not Qtel? They have the money then why not the extpertise?

well thexonic let me explain. my adsl comes and goes at will. sometimes i dont have it for the whole day and then suddenly it decides to return. apparently there is a problem in the qtel lines which is causing the disturbance. this is what i have been told, but the question is WHEN WILL THEY REPAIR IT!!!!!!! hubby got frustrated and applied for cancellation!

welcome to Qtel Lamea, u r not the first. We all went thru it, some r still suffering.

Trick question, how r u using internet now if none of those r working... aha got u there :D j/k

Dont cancel the service, go to qtel and yell at them, then they will listen. Cuz probably when u call them, they r busy drinking their tea or coffee.
