Yes, Navigee but if anything happened like the husband resigned then the wife has to go back to her point of origin???Which is definitely bad....

Anymore ideas which is better to keep like being the husband sponsor or not....????

The good thing about if you are husband sponsored and you would like to work is that you can resign anytime if you don't like the job and you will never be banned for two years.

Most companies also likes to hire those family sponsored since it will be less hassle for them to process the documentation.

umsarmad - not true.

issae - if the wife isn't working then they'll have to be sponsored by their husband (assuming he's working). If the wife is working as well then I guess she can choose to either be sponsored by the company or by her husband. I'm not sure what the advantages of one over the other is.

I am trying to get a family visa organised at the moment, so's I can be sponsored by my husband.

At the moment I have a Visitor's Visa which is valid for one or two, can be FIVE years, but I can only stay for 3 months at a time in Qatar before I have to leave the country to get it refreshed for another 3 months.

If I can get my hub's admin peeps to sort out a family visa, so's I'm sponsored by my hub, then I can apply for a Resident's Permit and come and go as I like without the need for an exit permit.

I think I can also drive here once I get a Resident's Permit - however, I wouldn't be able to work here with that Permit.  But that's OK, cos I wasn't intending to work here anyway.
