don't worry, once you start driving here you will be fine. I only started driving here a couple of weeks ago, although I have been driving in the UK for over 30 years.
Good luck.

initially when i arrived i let a few mths pass by till i got comfy with being on the 'wrong' side of the road (here tis left hand drive where as where i come fr this right hand drive) then i would take the car out around the area i live in to get used to driving here, then later i was ready and went for the test. good thing is for me (depending where you are fr) only a road test is required which was done in 5 mins and alhamdullillah i passed. of course i took my time in getting my driving license done as i did not want to pressure myself (well some ppl are slow and i am one of them)....and todate it has been 3 yrs since i have got my driving license....try driving during the times when there is lesser traffic say between 2-4 and go abt doing yr practice runs..... gl
life's too short so make the most of it, you only live but once.......

Ask for Noel or Angelito. They trained my ladies and both were very pleased with the quality of training and the ease of communication (we're westerners btw). They are also both good drivers.

I highly recommend you enroll for a driving course to familiarize the driving here. If you have Philippine driverse license you can opt for a short course. find a school near your place for easy access. My wife enrolled at Al Rayya Driving School 2 yrs ago and passed the test in 1 try
"Fascinated with Supercars but can’t afford it yet, so I settle down for a humble Jeepney, proudly Philippine made."
My wife and daughter both went there. Filipino (male) instructor but no problems at all. The guys were very polite and helpful and both passed their tests first time.
It's in Mamoura/Abu Hamour so that may be a problem (depending on where you live).

you need to drive in Doha ... especially with kid/s in tow. I only have 1 son, but i am constantly on the road with his activities.
