Qatar Foundation
I had been offered to work in Qatar Foundation with fully furnished housing, education benefits, medical for me and my family. My questions are...
- How good QF is when employing an expat employees?
- Is there any job security? Long term? Short Term? Termination?... frequent change?
- The contract is unspecified? are they terminating employees in couple of months?
- How do you describe QF? as an employer?
- What are other compensation and benefits that QF have aside from fully furnished housing, educational benefits, and medical?
- What is the grading structure in QF? lowest to highest?
Your advise is fully appreciated before we decided to move in QF..... To tell you honestly, I never heard any forums here related to QF...
Thank you,
greyvince
Will QF employees be affected by the upcoming 30% government salary increase?
PM no longer posts on here but I can tell you that Weil Cornell is a part of Qatar Foundation and located within Education City. It is a good Uni and good place to work where they offer a nice salary package. And before you ask - no I don't work for them but I know several American expats who do and they are happy there.
No matter what position you get offered at QF, you will be treated evry well, They are concidered as one of the top employers in regards to salary, housing & benefits. They have procedures that are carried out throughout. So all of you if you get offered a good position, Go for it.

PM, would you mind if I ask which uni you are working for? My wife got an offer at Weill Cornell and she is contemplating the offer. Do you know anything about this UNI and is it part of the foundation?
.
we don't know whether they will match it. If they gave you around 120K they match it. If they gave you less than 120K or more than 120 K doesn't look like it is a match...
oh,NA = North American wages?? but i never heard of such thing like NA wages.. people earn there starting from $6.5 per hour... there are quite few multi-billioners as well... so again what are NA wages?
we don't know who you are what you are.. did they hire you as an office boy? as a software developer? as a professor at the college? as an university principal? as a managing director of QF? as what? what is your position, your experience?
when they will make you an offer and we will know who u r, we can tell is it a good offer for this position or not.
good luck.
Let me reiterate my idea. Will QF match my Canadian/US salary? In other words, If I make 120K US will they match it+ premiums?
there is no such a thing like "qatar foundation basic salary". thousands of people work in QF.. it's not a Company.. it is a huge creation with tens of different companies in it...and hundreds and hundreds of different positions...
I am currently living in Canada and discussing a job opportunity with QF. Can you please shade light on QF and their Basic salary for US/Canadian expat? How are they compared to NA wages?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Regards
Thank you for all your feedback. I should not have think 2cond thought to grab QF.. I have read one in the forum, from algren and with all the feedback and information he receives during his times is enough for me. thank you once again and also to jinkz, yes I am from PI but currently working in KSA now moving to Qatar.
Ur lucky to get such a nice organisation dont evn think of 2nd thought... Grab it LOL.
Why don't you ask for a copy of your full offer? Are you coming from the PI? QF is more than just a "company" I would say Go for it!
