Hummus Lovers Anyone? Where to buy the best...

Hummus lovers anyone... this kind of appetizer is really one of the best. You might think that i am advertising foods but no, i am not in any connection of any restaurant for hummus. But Hummus is one of my favourites served in breakfast or dinner eaten in a freshly made kubos Lebnani, with pickled olives and onion and minced green hot chillis  on the side.

I've been here in Doha for morethan two decades and i haven't tasted better hummus than that from "Beirut Restaurant" in Shara kahraba (Electricity street) Anyone knows this restaurant? If you haven't tasted it go on have a taste...

By the way beirut rest. is closing in that area, so go to the one in old souq.

It's always the small things that make big differences.

U should ask homos freak (me) about it. Well I am a humus addict... If u want

to try the best humus, go to the Millenium hotel on monday night, the best ever

better than Beirut Rest. It's at the buffet... Lebanese food is the best :D

It's always the small things that make big differences.

Beirut restaurant is the best place for hummus. But it should be noted that most restaurants use citric acid (E330) to prepare it instead of using natural lemon juice. This can result in stomach ulcers.

hi

It is very easy to make hummus, try it by urself

INGREDIENTS:1 16 oz can of chickpeas or garbanzo beans 1/4 cup liquid from can of chickpeas 3-5 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste) 1 1/2 tablespoons tahini sauce2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons olive oil

PREPARATION:Drain chickpeas and set aside liquid from can. Combine remaining ingredients in blender or food processor. Add 1/4 cup of liquid from chickpeas. Blend for 3-5 minutes on low until thoroughly mixed and smooth. Place in serving bowl, and create a shallow well in the center of the hummus. Add a small amount (1-2 tablespoons) of olive oil in the well. Garnish with parsley (optional).

Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate.
