yes, cost,..you can find entertainment here,..but how much it will cost you..when i came to qatar in 2002, 1 night at sheraton was 300 QR. now it's 2500 Q.R... SPA, GYM,..etc will be the same,..not mentioning the waiting lists every where... I suggest to find some friends and hang up with..

shopping will ruin your husband salary,..so i suggest window shpping..;) or you get a job. be busy with, drive home at the peak time, which will take a while under sun,.. be happy to reach home, sleeeeeeep,.. and then you'll never think of entertainment,..but you'll have a lot of money don't know aht to do with....

Thanks for your comments/advice. I think I like the sound of lunching with the girls followed by a trip to the pool/spa! Anyone know what the costs of joining a health club are like?

They are working this out...how to pass time?

For that they are planning the Entertainment City.

Till then go out with your car during peak hours for a trip around Doha, It will take you quite a while. (There are 4 peak hours here...so 4 times the joy!).

Honestly QL is the place to be. Log on & you will never hang up.

newgirl ... my typical day ... school drop off ... groceries ... back to the house for unloading the groceries ... out for coffee with friend or ladies expat gathering (if there is any) otherwise stay at home go on line or cleaning up ... pick son up from school ... drop him somewhere for playdate ... take him to birthday party ... take him to after school activities ... back to the house ... and spend the rest of the day with the family.

If money no objection for you ... there are plenty good spa/gym in the hotel.

How old are your children?

well you are doomed if you dont like shopping, since thats all there is to do here. Just kidding, there heaps to do here depending on your interests. Lots of gyms, spas and pools from 5 star venues to you compound if you are going to live in one. You can always visit QL and join the social group where events are organised.
