I know that many have asked similar questions but would be grateful if anyone could comment on this proposed package:

1. Basic salary is ranging from 8500 – 11000 Q.R according to the years of experience.
2. Shipping allowances is 150 kg for single and 300 kg for married.
3. Furniture Housing and Utility provided. (High standard accommodation).
4. Monthly transportation allowance 1000 Q.R
5. Monthly mileage allowances 600 Q.R
6. Location allowances 50 Q.R per working day.
7. Education Assistance for the accompanied Children.
8. Economy Class tickets from city of origin.
9. Provided with international medical coverage.
10. Annual leave as per the academic year.

The job is in education and as such benefits from generous holidays. I would be happy to supplement this income by working during the holidays if such arrangements are possible. I'm single and would be looking to save some of my wage, and while not expecting an extravagant lifestyle would look to enjoy my life in Qatar.

I am paid during the holidays.

As regards accommodation, its classed as high standard, I'm not too fussed if I have to share it with others as I'm in a shared house in the UK.

I never thought about dental, I assumed it would be covered under medical insurance but will ask.

My summer break alone is 2 months, and I have a good Christmas and Easter break. I was just wondering what the short term job market is like over there, would I be able to temp for 2 months quite easily? Would be happy to do anything. I even thought about working in the UK for those months but are worried about tax implications. I'd probably use the Christmas/Easter break to go home/do some travelling.

Thanks for your help.

sorry Qatman ... was typing in hurry before leave for school run ... i know some company only cover the medical not dentist. Sometimes eventhough dentist they mention only filling ... other things like root canal or braces they have to cover them self which is i know in Doha cost a fortune.

The package they offer you is not bad but nothing special about it. You will not really save much. I am sure you can earn much more in the UK. Personally, I will not work in Doha for that package.

it depends on the position your applying to, but the contents looks good. btw make sure that clause on item 10 should be paid leave. and on item 3, is it a sharing accomodation or not. coz' i know someone whose working in the education field. if its a single worker they used to put them on a sharing flat, just take note on this.
