Here in Qatar IT field is very weak and especially if you are a programmer then don't come. Others like IT technician, Network tech etc will get jobs.

Wish you a good job hunt. TC

future here. I used to be a programmer before, but i found that it does not work here and had to change my profession into Networking field which is a lot better here. Bring a programmer, you would always be asked to do everything and they would be running after you all the time. Being in technical field, you are the one bending their arms and can break it also if you wish.

Second thing, the Oracle is almost to be considered the standard database for all E-Government which means technically to work in your profession you should work in the government which is Practically impossible these days not unless you would be really in Good Senior levels.

Hey bond...It isn't that easy for communication engineers as well, especially if u aren't at senior level...I've got 2 yrs in telecom but couldnt end up grabbin' an offer even after lotsa months try...About to return bak empty handed....Seems like Qatar is a tuff place for the less experienced professionals...

If u want to safeguard ur future dont think to work or settle in Qatar. No future for a programmer here only u can earn some good money. No new technology implementation here, but if u were in communication side its good to land here you can get money aswell as good future...

I know its hard to accept the fact but this is true.
