What is the Hiring Process at QP?

Sjoudeh
By Sjoudeh

I just got a phone interview with QP on Jan 1st. After a week I emailed the person who scheduled the interview and asked him about the outcome of the interview and he replied back by saying that my interview report was forwarded to the recruitment officer and they will contact me pretty soon. I havenot heard from them so far but I'm wondering if what he meant was that my interview went well and they will contact me to discuss the offer or its normal to send the report to the recruitment officer and they will decide then if they're going to pursue it with me or not... can someone help me plz if you've gone through the same process?
Thank you

I'm curious Sjoudeh, how did you secure your role? Did you go through an agency, or did you approach your employer directly? The dealings I have had with agencies (and I'm only speaking for myself) have been dissapointing. They either don't return emails, calls and most fail to keep me informed.

That is really a frustrating process ... hopefully you will get a response from them soon and you can join the company ...

Congrats Sjoudeh with your offer..

My position was also one of waiting after having being interviewed. To be brief, I received a call to inform me that I was going to be offered the job. As you could all imagine I was overjoyed. A couple of days later my agency called to say that the CIO who had interviewed me had resigned and all recent appointments, were going to be reviewed by an interim board. To say I was dissapointed and confused and angry would be an understatement! End result was that the interim board decided not to fill my role, but instead advertise it as a different position, which, I have applied for again! I've really lost confidence with this system. It's now going on 8 months since I first applied. The whole process is so unprofessional. i hope not many go through this type of thing. It's just wrong.

All the best to you all..

If you've not heard from them by now, I hope you've already found a place somewhere else.

I had this site interview last 3 weeks. Still waiting for the answer if I am accepted or not.

How long will it take for a simple email saying that you have pass / not pass.

I just would like to know if they want to offer me or not so I can move on and look for other opportunities. This is way unprofessional. In the states if they are interested they will get back to you in a matter of maximum a week and if they're not interested they send you a letter to inform you that you were not selected. But with QP you dont know if you are going to be hired or not ... sigh ..we will wait and see ... Good Luck to all of you !!

I tried emailing the guy who organized the interview but I haven't heard back from him and because of time difference between the states and Qatar its difficult for me to call them during the day since it will be after hours in Qatar ...

Nikab ..which department did you interview with? I interviewed with the IT department

Hi, why do they take so long? I too am waiting for a response, but I've been waiting for nearly 6 weeks.

They say be patient, but I would prefer regular communication..
