HELP!!! ANYONE?!?!
hello!!! i am mom of 3 and i have taken 2 of my kids with me here in qatar on a visit visa. their visa have expired since last dec 19, but thru some help from friends i was able to extend it until the 16 of this month...the last time i asked for an extension i was told it was final and i couldn't come back to ask for more, i was even asked to sign a paper in arabic that i will be responsible for making sure my kids left the country after the said date...my problem is both my kids are studying here and its almost the end of the school year, if i send them home now, no school from my country will accept a transferee. it means my children will have to lose a year of school and they'll have to repeat it once more...i tried get a sponsorship of my kids thru the dept of labor but twice they denied me...i was told that it should be my hubbie to sponsor our kids, but the thing is, he is a newbie in his company and what's worst they refused to give approval for him to sponsor his kids, citing his low salary and he is barely 4 months with the company...can somebody please help me...direct me to what, where, how and whom else can i go to for help.... many thanks....
is it possible that the NHRC can be of any help with my problem??
in relation to exiting while you have visit visa, i was told (just recently) that if you will exit qatar, you have to exit to your own country i.e. Philippines...how true is this? and if so, following the suggestion of gypsy, gweni has to exit to their country...clarifications please...(or the information i got could be wrong)

Yes I agree, I went through this phase myself for a long time. Flights are expensive for two kids anyway I think she shou talk to Hamad again if anyone knws a way they will be able to find it.
Syed Qadeer is right. try to work it out with the dept of labour. be persistent and tell them your husband cannot sponsor your kids. im sure they'll work something out. and pray.
CB, I don't know of any other option, unless they bribe an official. Seems to me taking them out of the country once a month is the only way to do it.

i am working with HMC. they've given me approval to sponsor my kids, but the problem with the dept of labor...they are not accepting if your husband is also a resident of qatar. im not sure if there is anything our embassy can do regarding this matter...my colleagues told me to look for a wasta. thanks anyway...
Since your hubby is newly appointed and his salary is below the minimum level requried to sponsor kids, its better if you approach your embassy and seek their help.
If you are working lady and got visa from company (not husband sponsor) then you should be able to sponsor your kids.

Hi there, do you think that will help - I think it will only help for a short extension and not to forget the plane to Bahrain is expensive - they do not use th visa runs like they did before. My idea only.
Not to mention the low salary of the husband.
Send them to Bahrain or Dubai for the day, they can get a new visit visa when they return.
