I agree with you to a certain extent. On Salwa Road the limit is 80KM. Before it was 120km. The new limit should have been fixed at 100km in my opinion.

From Ras Adu Abut R/A to Air Port direction the speed limit is 120 km . It changes to 100km immediately after E-Ring road signal. very inconsistent.

i hated the law specialy cuz the speed limit

i see that the limit is unfair at least to increase 10 km for each street

and make a range for mistakes +2 0r 3 km is not a crime

Who doesn't hate the new law. But I support the Speed limit law and Red Light Law.

ashahhat - Then no choice keep on looking on the MOI website. It only requires a little bit of absence from QL.

addition to paying the fine there would be also extra? What if some people have no internet connection to check MOI and of course all have no time to go there, smile and ask if they have fines or not.

I paid the fine last night. It cost me QR610. the extra QR10 as the penalty for late payment. Ashahhat is right! Guys out there try to pay the fine early.

I've seen some translations here that are very misleading.

on of my friend had just send me an Arabic copy of the law (PDF) and the rule 90 of the law said:

u have to pay within 60 days from the fine announcment or u will charged 1 QR for every one more day and the authorities has the right to forbid the driver exit from the country till he pays!!!

please double check..........
