did i ever say that he was not helpful to you? have I ever said that amnesia MUST help someone and he doesn't, at all??? Am i arguing whether amnesia helpful or not??

amnesia was very helpful to me when I was looking for a place. OK, so I wasn't looking for a QR3000 shared place, but he DID provide me with the names of some agents who I wouldn't otherwise have known and he also made me feel like there was someone out there who CARED! I didn't know where to start when it came to looking for a new apartment and amnesia was nice enough to chat with me about it via PM.

He does care and he does probably do a lot of research, so give the guy a break eh?

thanks for sending me the email knox, I honestly didn't see this thread.

I did send him some information and some links, however I think his requirements are a bit on the impossible side.

New building, very spacious and fascilities and add to the fact that the 4k INCLUDES utilities is difficult.

He can definately find a place, but not new and not in a great location either.

I recommend Janet as she's always on the hunt and willing to help.

@qatarisun, oh how I wish you'd just get lost somewhere.... if you asked me something and I wasn't able to follow up, you can trust that it's because I'm busy! I try to do what I can and it's been hectic for me in my new job, travels, setting up my home and my own business.

Hope your negativity doesn't rub off on anyone. I wish that the people I actually help out would post something to shut you up.

I have had so many debates on the rents issue with amnesia and everytime he tells me that there is a studio apartment in his building that is vacant and the rent will be 3000-4000. If I remember correctly he said 3500. I never needed an apartment as I have a pretty big villa. But today I am gonna send him an email asking for the location of that apartment and its availability. Lets see what he has to say.

..that he saw just yesterday the ad about 2-br F/F flat in a prime location for QR5000.. but he forgot where exactly he saw it.. but he will look for the newspaper.. he is still looking for this paper for me since half a year ago...and also he will tell you that the government is aware about this situation and work on it.. so, gmrleb, just wait couple of year and Insh'allah you will get something...

gmrleb, i perfectly understand your frastration... but walla it's extremely hard to find a studio for 4000 nowadays...

all I can do just to wish you a good luck and hope that someone come across with help...

qatarisun, your honesty is appreciated and the truth be told that I didnt start searching yesterday but like 3 months ago. It has been excrutiantigly painful searching all over town. I saw places that horses would say no to. So as a matter of fact my search didnt start just yesterday. I hoped that my tone would actually provoke people into helping me as I know that many QLers are actually real estate agents going after fast and easy cash!

Anyways, thanks for the sentiments...the search continues :(

I hope you can sort yourself out but its the same old problem of 'supply and demand'. If i hear of anything i'll let you know, but i think the only reply's you get will be from " cash hungry " agents, telling you a world of lies. Good luck though!

You sound frustrated that offers weren’t pouring on you… Since when in Qatar offers pouring on potential tenants??

Also, I think you didn’t get a lot of responds because of the tone of your post.

“ FIND ME A STUDIO..!”, “I am not asking for much, just find me..”, “Remember only NEW buildings...”, “Happy searching and remember the 1000QR…”…and so on..

I am really sorry to say it, but do you really see QLers running and searching the accommodation for you? And only because you offer the reward of QR 1000?

Today it is next to impossible to find the accommodation that you described for the price you can afford. Studios in new buildings usually start from QR 4700-5000, and fly away in 1-2 hours after been posted.

And I am sure you won’t stay homeless, as for QR4000 you can easily find 1 room in 3-bedroom flat, or even in 2-bedroom flat if you are lucky.

I am really sorry if what I said hurts you, but the Rent market is really really bad nowadays, so please don’t blame on Qlers….

I am sure if somebody knows or heard or seen some place similar to what you need, he/she will help you right away...but the chance is too small, that's why no "offers pouring"... sorry...

It was only yesterday ? i think you should wait till next week, since most of the people are on vacation or due to holidays they are not coming online.
