Hi all .. i got a job with one of the oil company as senior position but they are offering me QR8000 p/m + transportation QR1000 + accommodation + medical + school.
I am coming with my wife. Now, i am not sure if this is the right salary to come with my wife or not. Please let me know if anyone have an idea about this .. also how many days it takes to obtain a work visa.
Thanks!:)

Someone said that they couldn't find drugs in Qatar. I assume that you HAVE found some.

The salary is crap. If you don't have anything to lose, start your negotations at QR 30,000 per month + housing + school fees. See how it goes.

F.A I agree that such a salary for a senior position is a bit too low, but the exchange rate of your country's currency is also an important element to consider. My opinion, and your choice of course :)

Some are Wise ... Some are ...Otherwise

Thanks for the reply. However, i dont have to pay for any utility bills + phone bills + cellphone bills + electricity & water bill as housing will be provided by the company.

Is qatar very expensive place to live .. if i need 8000QR to 20 days then it should be very expensive place.

I am very confused .... :(

Is this post in Dukhan? Slightly different ballgame if is as housing, utilities, school free, subsidised food and free leisure facilities. But still not a huge salary compared to engineers. If it is QP though, they have been good employers for us and the annual pay review is good.

calculate it for him

say utility bills hmm around 3000-3500 now thats Phone + Cellphone + Electricity & Water + Cable vision (if you need)

then car loan hmm then 3000 for food and etc. all that will be left by any chance might be one blue note :) so no saving. still depends on ur life style too.

Absolutely too low. They are seeing if they can get away with offering you something so low. Do not accept this. Come back with something much higher and see if they accept.

Absolutely Not......8000 QR will go in 20 days on just food and other utilities, so what is the use?
