Oh, I don't know if it's smart or cheap LOL... hate to pay for stuff and then not use it.

The lineups for most things aren't very bad here, so I'm sure they won't mind queueing for a bit. It's not like we are in a HUGE city and there are 100,000's of folks waiting to go. That's why they tickets are FREE!!

I agree, I just kinda prefer the one ticket for all the games. My front row seat is always preserved, whether I showed up or not. Also, I can go anytime during one game, don't have to line up upfront to find a seat.

And it really does not get all that jammed up, unless top seeds are playing or at the finals.

Oh, I'm sure that they'll be satisfied with the freebies... one of the things that's good about that, is you just show up. So, no pressure if you change your mind on a particular day. Sort of like Asian Games last year, lots of last minute seats for nothing or next to it, just to fill seats :-).

Well, for the free tennis tickets, you cannot get them ahead of time, only ont he same day of the game.

For the paid ones, you can. You can even get them from City Center.

Enjoy life to the max.

Yup you answered my question :-). I'd hate to get stuck without being able to head to the nearest Starbucks or other coffee place.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Eid ends on Dec 25th, Christmas celebrations is after that along with New Year.

Hotels are usually packed during this period. Malls are decorated with trees.

I am not sure I answered your question, right?

I was just curious if other things are open besides the hotels. I am guessing the stores are open? I wasn't here last year for New Year's, and now I'm trying to figure out what there will be to do. I think the Men's Tennis is starting early January, too. Anyone know where to get tickets?

If you're planning to party or eat for Christmas at any of Doha hotels, make sure to make the reservations well ahead of time, specially for fairly big crowds.

Personally, I like the Marriott’s Christmas celebration. It's elegant and accommodating.

I'm sure all the hotels have something going on. Give them a call.

I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield
