When is the best time to go for shopping here in Doha? I meant the big sale. My friend and I went shopping the other day and the dresses cost us around $1,000 each the cheapest is $700 boots for also over a thousand. hanbags lets not go there, Gee!!! we did not want our hubby to go bankcrupt he he.
Also all my friends are asking me to send them some gold (like I am rich). They heard and read all about it from the internet.
Is it safe to send gold? Will it arrive to the Western destination? or will it disappear from the post here? (I heard bad stories and just confirming don't shoot the messenger)

The other day I saw a ladies leather bag ...priced at QR 1,000.
I remember buying a better one in Sion-Dharavi's leather making place, Mumbai for approx QR 40 after bargaing from QR 48 !!!
I mean QR 1,000? ...almost half the price of a Laptop!...ok-ok one-third the price...but still!!
And there are a lot of fake wrist-watch shops here...If you are not aware of the Brand dont experiment. As for me I always look for "waterproof till 100m" or so. All brands have water-resistant but only the best have "water-proof" ones

I thought all places in the middle east has got massive sale like they were promoting in a Travel Magazine. Although in Kuwait is really good during my holiday there most signature items are even 70% off. When they say "sale" they meant it.

Shopping in souq is not good try to look in City Centre,Villagio and The Mall.For your safety please do not send it through post or cargo just bring it with you when you get home.
