Internet Explorer upgrade

I just recently upgraded my IE6 to IE7 from the web and after installing it, I can no longer open the IE. Unfortunately, I deleted my IE6. What should I do to fix the problem?

You can use Firefox instead of explorer.Even if you decide to switch, remember that Internet Explorer will still be available to you on your computer, and should remain so, as certain functions in the operating system do rely on it.

When you run firefox wizard, you can choose the option to migrate your explorer favorites, cookies, and other tools. Hope that helps

No problemo, I hope it works. Nope, bakcing up of files is only needed when re-installing your OS (XP). Repairing does not need.

While you are on your work PC, you can also download a nice broswer, its called Firefox, faster and more reliable. Used by most people fed-up with IE :)

Have a nice weekend!

Zoso and Kikomodos - thanks! I'll try this one first. Do I have to make a back up on all my files before doing so? I am afraid all files stored will be affected (?? sorry i'm no good at this)...

Thanks Talha, first I'll try to resolve the problem with the other advise and will get in touch with you regarding IE6 software.

Here's How:

1. Get your laptop CD installers, and find the XP

2. After putting the CD inside, it wil prompt you, click click, then it will ask you to update, repair or delete. Choose repair.

Hopefully, you'll end up saying whoala, done!

If not, take Zoso's free IT support.

Cheers!

Ok here is what try first

If you have Windows Xp(any version) CD

1. Go to control panel > Addor remove program

2. On the left side, you see a menu called "Add/Remove windows component". Click it

3. Select "windows explorer" and click next

4. Put the xp cd in the drive if it prompts.

If you dont have XP cd, visit my forum. I put a link where to download it from.

Talha10, obviously I'm using another computer (which is my work computer). The computer I am having trouble with IE is my laptop at home.

Anyway, someone told me that I can download IE not only from the internet. Anyone who has a softcopy of the IE 6 that I can borrow?

Thanks
