Doctor and Dentist
Can anyone recommend a good family doctor and dentist in Al Waab please? We're just opposite Doha College. Oh, and whilst I'm here does anyone know where our nearest post office is? The new Marhaba map shows one down near Garveys but I just drove round in circles trying to find it..

We have been using Dr Tamim's office for dental care and we are very satisfied. They have several specialist in the office. He is on Al Waab past the Villagio mall but before the intersection that turns to go to the American School of Doha. His office is on the right side of the road if you are heading towards City Center and you can see the name of his office from the road. The number for the office is 443-5959.
The Post Office near Al Waab is on the Al Aziziya Street and Garveys I think is directly behind the post office. The best thing to do and to find it easily, is, to take a left at the traffic light crossing directly at Khalifa Stadium follow the Sports Street until the end- where you will meet with a roundabout. At the roundabout take a right and drive straight on, you will meet up with a street turning to the right, - turn right there, this is the Al Aziziya Street. After about 50-100 metres you will see the Post Office on your left hand side. This is the easiest way to get there from Al Waab without getting lost.
I have seen that there is a new clinic just opened on the Al Waab Street called Al Tamimi I am not yet sure what kind of clinic this is. However the Doha Clinic and many other clinics have a large selection of doctors.

Try Dr. Asli at Smile Dental Center
- on Salwa Road; opposite Jarir Bookstore / above Crepaway
She is a Turkish dentist with a European education, speaks good English. Friends (including parents) who have visited her have all been very happy, with both the fees and the quality of treatment. T: 466 35 03/04
Doctor
I would recommend Doha Clinic; which is close by and offers 24h facilities. Your health insurance may already cover you?
Post Office
As you go 'up' Salwa Road on the right there is Mitsubishi (watch the speed camera), Small Mosque Roundabout, Petrol Station and then Hardees.
Immediately after the Hardees Roundabout (maybe 50m) the Post Office is on your right. The Garveys turning is about 1/2km further up.
