Please advice...!
Is it possible for a EU citizen to enter Qatar with a tourist visa while still waiting for a Qatari work visa? More important, would the tourist visa issued upon arrival at the airport cancel the process of the work visa?
I have been waiting now for 4 1/2 months and my work visa is still under process, according to my employer, but I need to go to Doha for personal matters! On the other hand, I do not want to risk the termination of my work visa process because of my entry with a tourist visa!
I would highly appreciate any help or information regarding my situation!

I was told the same by Al Jazeera English HR, that I can not enter Qatar with a tourist visa while waiting for the work visa, but after waiting 4 1/2 months I really don't know what to do!
Jazeera keeps insisting that my work visa is still under process but can not give me a reason why there is such a long delay!
Friends of mine got the work visa with AJE after waiting 3 months...
I asked the Immigration dep. at the airport and I got conflicting answers for my question regarding entering qatar with a tourist visa while waiting for a work visa!
until my work visa was being processed. Finally it was issued a week ago. I think 4 1/2 months is way too long time for visa process. Anyway, I was told that during work visa process you cannot enter Qatar with a tourist visa.
May the roof above us never fall in, and may the friends below never fall out!
