Advice needed about repatriation...
So i'm leaving in a couple of weeks having completed my 2 year contract with my company. I was hired from the UK, but have accepted another job in Dubai so will be travelling directly to Dubai from Qatar. Now as per the law I have asked my company for the value of my ticket to the UK, (or to Dubai even) but they have refused saying they can only issue a ticket to the UK. This is no job to me as I assume its not refundable or exchangable. please can any advise me if this is legally correct? Is there no way they can give me the cash, or a ticket to dubai instead?? Thanks
Most airlines will give you a credit for airfare that you can use in a period of time (usually one year). Take it and see if you can get credit from the airline.
I already asked if they could pay for a ticket or give me the money for dubai instead of the UK, they said no, the only thing they will give me is a ticket for the UK, and not the money. so i think they're hoping I won't ask for it as its no good to me. I will ask for it anyway, as it'll cost them 3000 qrs instead of 1000qrs if they want to be difficult I wil be as well.
i can help if it is possible for the travel agancies to cancel ticket and issue another
y dont u tell ur hr manager that they are wasting money on ur ticket..? they wont even need half
of tht money to send u to dubai

there is nothing in the law that forces the company to give you cash for ticket.
what you can do is if they give you voucher, then you can ask the travel agency for settlement and adjustment and have them make some profit.
Alternatively, you can negotiate with the company to give you cash little less that the market value of the ticket.
