having a membership to a gym that you may or may not visit is not a solution but its a start.
its not a measure of integrity and dedication and how motivated and determined you are at the current moment. but rather what happens when life gets busy, you stop going as much and stop seeing results.
that's why most gym want you to sign up for a year and pay up.
try working with a professional who can show you hot to get results and keep them.

There is a gym at Al Liwan Suites (not far from airport), on the 6th floor with a small swimming pool and sauna. Membership is only QR 200 for a month. There is also gym in Bio bil Health Center opposite City Center. It is beautiful! they have aerobics classes almost every day, a nice swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool and gym of course. Very nice, although more expensive, but I think it is still reasonable in Doha. QR 60/day and around Qr 500-600 for a month, I don't remember exactly.
Hi all. When I first arrived in Doha a few weeks ago I went along to The Ramada aerobics class which was being run by a very nice lady (and now friend of mine :o) ), but I was her one and only 'student' !
After a couple of weeks she left Ramada and now takes the aerobic classes at Al Massa (ladies only) and has quite a few ladies taking part. QR35 if non-member
Ramada's Cabana Club have a new aerobics instructor, but I checked and I don't think anyone goes to it. It's QR35 if you aren't a member of The Cabana Club. QR30 if you are.
han? when are you going to give me a game of table tennis or squash at Ramada ;o)
Hi Hassan. Just looking at the info on Personal Training at Ramada. I can't tell from the pamphlet if you have to have membership to The Cabana Club (Ramada's Club) before being allowed to use the facilities. I used to go to aerobics before I was a member and only paid for the session.
Best thing is to call them on 4417417 and ask to be put through to the Club's Reception.

Al Massa sounds good. does anyone have their contact number?
Hassan, it depends. Apparently at Al Massa that’s the case but I was in some mixed class here in Qatar before.
but would I mistaken in thinking these aerobic classes are female-only sessions?
Herne, you sure about the aerobic classes at Bio Bil? When I went to check out the place they didn't have any nor they could tell if/when they would.

My friend takes the classes at Al Massa and the days/hours are:
Saturday 9-10 a.m.
Monday 6.30-7.30 p.m.
Ramada is:
Wednesday 7-8 p.m.
Saturday 9.30-10.30
Both are QR35 if you aren't a member.
Jauntie, that'll be great! I'll PM my contact : )
Jauntie, do they run aerobic classes also during summer at Al Massa?
I go back to UK for a few weeks on Sunday, but if you want to join me in aerobics when I get back then that would be good!

Thanks Han, I'll check them out : )
the last i checked ramada, they had membership for singles at 5000 or slightly more, as annual fees.
you can use the gym and pool in that.
personalised trainer comes at an extra charge per hour..
they did have aerobics, yoga, and pillates, when i saw them a few months back.
to use their facilities you have to be a member, except for their massage where they take appointments for non-members too.
once you are a member then you can take a guest along with you too for a fee.

Guess I'll have to go for personal instructors then. Can anyone tell me what the charges are like at the ramada and all?
You can also check gym's at hotels, they are more expensive though. I know there are good gyms at the Rydges and Intercon.
Last time I asked about Al-Masa, they did have instructors to guide you.
Yes please, I'm interested as well. Anyone knows of anywhere?
...not have instructor led classes from what I know. I go there to gym and don't see any studios for classes for men. Not sure about ladies though.
al massa gym next door in eli france cafe ramada junction. Not too sure about the instructor. Been ages since last time i been here.
