Ever Heard Of This Company?
Hello everyone. I have a relative from East Africa who has just got a job in Doha, Qatar. Am concerned because we dont know anyone there and we dont want her to be involved in a shady deal. So if you can help me with some info I'd really aprreciate it. The company had some interviews and she with about 34 others were chosen to work in Doha.The company hiring her and others is called Universal Sodexho. Is anyone familiar with this company and do they have fair practices in dealing with their employees? Also, what should she be on the look out for as a female? What is the crime rate? How should she prepare herself as a foreigner? And what can she do in preparation before she travels to Doha? They offered her, food and accomodation in her contract too. I really look forward to the info as soon as possible, she has to leave in about 2 weeks.Thanks in advance!

It is basically a catering company. They were the caterers in some universities in Canada. They are a big company but as far as i remember they were called Sodexho. just sodexho

I have come across the name Universal Sodexho in the dining rooms of OXY's (Occidental Petroleum, Qatar) offshore facilities and work vessels. They're responsible for running the kitchens and providing catering staff.
They do a lot of the catering offshore on oil rigs and I have seen them doing the same on onshore bases in Africa. They are one of the better companies in my opinion.
I've heard about Universal Sodexho, I believe they are involved in hotels.
