Qatar Science and Technology Park or (Qatar Secret Facility)
Hey Guys
I recntly arrived in Qatar looking for a job after completing my masters and its been almost one month and I am still without any luck. So i read in the newspaper about Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP)that they are having a conference. So i went through the research that the QSTP residents like shell exxonmobil, total etc and doing and found out that shell's research and my research focus during my Masters is the same. so i called up shell manager at QSTP and asked him what kinda research they are involved in and he said that its confidential. I asked him that I am also interested in their research so can i come and join them and he said i cannot join them becuase its highly confidential. now i am really curious to find out what they are researching on. Man what is that use of your reserach if it stays confidential. What is the use of bringing your research to Qatar if the people of Qatar cannot use it.......
Try calling shell QSTP and see what they say. ask them about their research and see what happens...
Stealth, if they're not allowed to divulge information, that doesn't prevent them from listening.
So I think a person who was interested in research would explain to the R&D guys and/or girls what their previous studies and work had involved, what skills, knowledge and expertise they had acquired and explain to the R&D people what area of research they were interested in getting involved in.
If they were potentially a match for whatever secretive research was going on, and if there were vacancies, then I'm fairly sure they would find out. If their profile didn't match the research area or there weren't any vacancies, then things would come to a dead end.
and what was the topic of the research about?
Tell me.
SO if you wanted to go in for research and the R&D guys are not willing to tell you what they are researching on what would you do?
They are researching creating anti-matter from matter which then becomes anti-matter-matter soon as it becomes clear that it doesn't matter :)
Indeed, a research is confidential until a product rolls out.
"In shallow minds, the waves of thought cause much commotion. In oceanic minds, they hardly make a ruffle."
i think the point of research is that it DOES remain confidential until whatever you are working on yields something that can be brought to market.
obviously whatever they are working on is not ready to be applied in the real world, so why would they advertize what they are doing and alert their competition to what they are doing?
this is pretty basic business 101 stuff mate, and confidential for you means confidential for anyone not associated with the project.
