CID Clearence Rejected

Dear ALL

My wife is under my sponsership. She got a job in Petrochemical company here in qatar as secretary before four months. She started as contract because she yet to complte her medical and CID clearence.
Company sent her for medical and CID clearence (finger prints) after one month.
When i went to collect the report CID told me to inquire in the HR section of the company. then company told my wife that her CID clerence is rejected. i was surprised with that. they didnt mentioned any reason for rejection. Now company telling that they will try to clear it. unless it will clear she cannot be taken as regular employee and her contract will exp. after one month

Did anybody experienced like this situation before? if yes what i can do to solve this?
is it worth to wait for the comany to clear it because they cannot tell the time limit and she already got an interview call from another company.

Please advice

Hi, just wanna ask... If Your CEID clearance request gets rejected, what is the status that you will get? Is it REJECTED or DISAPPROVED?

canarybird/PITSTOP...

everybody needs one....

Also, Qataris can't switch jobs, we need to get the approval from the old job before joining another one, our own kind of NOC. Nobody accepts any university degrees for Qataris unless it's on the list of 50 or so universities that they have.

After CID all papers are sent to the Ministry of Interior and the Labour Department the CID only do the clearance not finish the papers.

If you are a Qataria you don't need a visa but the Pakistani friend does and they do this. What I don't understand is why you need a CID clearance in your own country??

PITSTOP

My CID papers has been approved, finally - after 3 months. And I am a Qataria.

A Pakistani friend of mine applied somewhere and her papers got rejected. The only reason is that they see that position could be filled by a Qatari. Qatarization!

Also I have suffered under the new sponsorship laws and this year and my RP was cancelled due to the sponsorship change.

The rules are being changed in Qatar to benefit all.

Human rights are there to support and help people in real difficulties, if your wife has been denied then you have to try again (the company) has to try again.

I think even the labour department are having difficulty to be clear about new rules and regulations and I don't think it is the CID who rejects it is all running over the Ministry of Interior and the Laour Department and if the have to employ Qataries it is their right to work in their own country if there are enough people to fit the jobs - but anyway they should have told you it had been rejected to allow you to look in a different company for your wife.

The reason CID is rejected is because secretary, coordinaotr, drivers etc are listed as Qatari positions in the Qatarization scheme. It has nothing to do with the company she applied with, and no amount of wasta will get you cleared... unless it is some major sheikh.

I am not sure that all of the above is true, however, the CID is being more thorugh than it was before, and I have had three visas rejected due to the fact that the "Certificate of no Impedeiment" was missing, this means the police clearance from their country.

I would go there and ask why the papers were not cleared there may be another reason.

Guys I have heard the same situation and I was told that this rejection issue is for people under husband's or father's sponsorship. People who apply for a job leaving the current job finds this problem. normally they give u a rejection message and few days after that they call u and ask u to submit ur passport and ticket to the deportation and then u r deported. I donno why exactly they r doing this kind of nonsense... must be some stupid policy. One of my friend has got into the same situation and has been asked to submit the ticket and passport at the deportation.

One of my colleagues is facing the same problem.

She is a programmer- qualified engineer.

she started work without even an appointment letter, only assurance by word of mouth.

Now 3 months later after medical clearance etc , she has come to know that her CID application has been rejected - so no job and since no appt letter , no salary as well.

She is in a dilemma to find out why CID was rejected and has tried hard thru "Wasta".So far no good.

Mmmmm, have heared similar chat at my workplace.  People's files are being pulled at random for a check by the CID and if they can be replaced by a Qatari the CID clearance doesn't come through.

From my experience It is very difficult to get CID clearence for Clerical and Secretarial posts. Qatarization is the main reason. Also if husband has job in Petroleum companies they will not give clearence to wife for any Petroleum company jobs.... But for the technical posts, if they have no Qatar nationalities with same qualification what we have, they will give you the police clearence certificate. You have to submit all the papers in CID department Doha and after 10 days (they will tell you after 20 days) you can get the police clearence certificate if it is ok.You have to go there and collect it. If they say " contact to your company"...bad luck... no hope....better try next time for a new job...

or maybe its because of your previous job. by the way, can you please tell me what is the CID nad finger printing is for. is it doing back ground check on you and the place where you came from or just a record of your here in qatar.

i have not recived my rp yet and have not gone through these tests yet...

Whatever Apple has posted above is the fact and the harsh reality.

The purpose of opening all the universities in Qatar is Qatarization. The problem that the Government faced was that when Qataris used to go abroad for higher studies, the givernment had to pay for their accomodation, living, airtickets plus the tuition fees. And many times those who went came without passing. so the Government has opened the universities in Qatar and it doesn;t has to pay for their accomodation and living. just the tuition fees and if they are not passing the government can simply cancel their scholarship.

Although we have yet to see the quality of the students who are studying at Weill Cornell Medical College. Last news that I had was that the students of Weill Cornell Medical College were being taught english.

I think MS.APPLE being a nurse can tell us about the quality of the students studying at weill cornell in qatar as she might have had contact with them. Over to you Ms. Apple

Human Rights can't do anything on that!

If they want Locals to filled up the post, you have no right to argue or even complain to Human Rights, its their country! they have every rights to impose Qatarization job.

The best thing to do is find another job offer the soonest so you won't end up w/ nothing.

i had a friend. he got a job in QAPCO through a "BIG WASTA". He had written in his resume that he has been working for the past three years in another country. So his application was sent for police/CID clearance and they found out that he was in Qatar and in his resume he had written 3 years international experience. so his CID clearance got rejected. But that "BIG WASTA" somehow got him the CID clearance.. so dude if you have been rejected and you have some ministerial level wasta or some major level waste you can still get the clearance.

or find some agent who will demand 10000 Qatari riyals and he will get you the clearance. The money goes all the way up.

or last option which i would not reccommend is go to the human rights commission in qatar. There are two possibilities for this

Either your wife will get the clearace.

or both of you will be deported and sent back from the next flight

Nothing is impossible in this world. money can get you everything except life.

By knoxcollege• 6 Jun 2007 09:09

Listen guys

I know some people working in the CID and this is what they told me. They told me that when someone applies for a clearance his/her cv/resume goes with the application to the CID as well as the labour department. they check whether there is any Qatari available for that position specially specially if it is an energy sector company .Moreover they also check how much experience you got and your qualifications and your salary.

if they said that it has been rejected then dude forget it. there is no way the company can do anything about it. Absolutely No way.

for those who are being told come tomorrow ask your company's mandoob to do something about it because you still got a chance. and for those who have been rejected it is now in the system so my advise find another job and pray that this time CID gives u clearance.

What might be the reasons for refusing clearance?

By Apple• 23 May 2007 14:07
Apple

Nat_rodri- tell your wife to find another job, believe me the company cannot do anything. NOBODY can WASTA in this case!

Nathan- Stop waiting! if you can go back to your previous job, do it! while still have the chance. Its already 6 months. More than 3 wks of your application still no answer? forget it! they wont tell you're rejected or not, and wont even tell you what is the reasons?

I smell some deals behind the scenes...could be that the company wants to back out of the contract and used its wasta. That could be the reason why no reason was given!

My Case also is going in same like this, but CID was not yet rejected. Its almost 6 months I was waiting for the clearance which is quite amazing. Everyday I'm getting the same answer that "Come tomorrow".
