Office dress code for women

Clearly this is going to vary dependant on where you're working but...

What do the women here tend to wear to work?

most ladies wear pretty much most kinds of clothes, as long as they arent transperant or cleavage show tops, or minis, these could be looked down upon.

but unless specified, you can be comfortable in suits, skirts, jeans, your wish.

dress according to the kind of day you are going to have.department meetings, management meetings or just the usual work.

my freind who works in the bank was told specifically to wear formals or full suits, no short kurtas or smart casuals.

happy heart

DRIVE SAFE,someone is waiting for you at home

Well, i can't say what the dress code is like in Qatar, since i haven't been granted a visa yet! But i can say what things are like in both Palestine and Jordan. If we are talking about the financial sector, you have to dress smart/elegant. IT sector, smart/Casual. Telecom, smart/casual (depends on the dept.)

From the people and friends I know in Qatar, I was told that there isn't much difference between Qatar and both Palestine and Jordan.

Personally, since I come from the financial industry I prefer smart/elegant wear.

Hope this adds some perspective on how things are in the ME.

Thanks. I will ask the company. It looked pretty casual when I went for interview but there weren't many women around! Guys weren't wearing ties though.

My thinking (hopeing) is I can probably wear pretty much the same wardrobe as I do for work in the UK. I'm not accustomed to wearing short skirts or spagetti-strap tops here anyway. I'm assuming short sleeves will be ok though...

wooly is really depending in your office style. what they wear in daily basis. you really dont want to wear something that not fit to the environment. but if you work for office, almost every where is the same. suits, pant and shirt, nice office skirt, jacket. you know? maybe jeans and T-shirt on thursday as weekend already.

Didn't happen to me, I don't walk anywhere by myself, especially not back from Landmark.

Whatever I want. Skirts, suits, jeans or t-shirts. Depends on the day and what's going on.
