Amr Khalid…whats the catch?

Chosen last week to be among Time magazine world’s most influential people. The sheik of chic, the cool clerk or dr. Phil of Arabia as his critics and devotees like to call him.
Traditionalist hates him for abandoning the long beard look for designer shirts/ Hugo Boss suites (I’ve seen him with my own eyes last summer in London’s Harrods store). Liberals also hates him for “veiling” Egypt. Rumor has it, that he’s behind the veiled actresses phenomenon in Egypt.
Denouncing extremists, Life makers, celebrities followers!
What exactly is his agenda?
Is he promoting Islam as the “new” Kabala?

There are people in every religion promoting the Kabalah.

Those who use jinns to influence & control people are not new. All religion has it under different names & guises.

There are about 22 major different religions and how come all religions have it.

He is very animated but can be overdramatic. His squeaky voice KILLS me. And the crying at the end of his lectures is a little too close to Jim Baker for me.

he is trying to conveince people that serving your country, helping the poor, doing your work well is the heart of islam not all the other less important details that people usually care about like growing a beard ..etc.
