well you can't blame MOST filipinos saying our embassy is useless because most of the time it is, you can rely on them only for passport renewal and other legal documents you need to send home, other than that let the majority speak.

That is why nga po, sb ko PDOS are intended only for those leaving with working visa...kc, OEC are required lang naman for those with work visa, f u r under visit or business & tourist visa its not necessary to undergo PDOS. Normally ang pinoprocess through POEA are those under employment visa. Meron po ba dumadaan under POEA having tourist/business/visa visa?

Once you process through POEA, you will be required to attend the PDOS, this is the last step to acquire your OEC.

Just check the POEA website for the process.

PDOS? Sa pagkakaalam ko, PDOS is only for those leaving the country under working visa--it's one of the requirements to get an OEC(Overseas Employment Certificate) from POEA. U mentioned you will be under business visa...no need na PDOS. U jst have the visa authenticated by the Qatar Embassy there sa pinas together with your medical certificate. No questions upon entering qatar immigration if walang problema sa visa mo i.e., the name, birthdate, PP number in your visa match with that in your passport. Sa airport lang sa pinas medyo mabusisi...

kelangan mong pamedical...just to ensure fit to work ka nga sa Qatar. Meron ngang cases fit to work sa pinas, pagdating sa qatar sabit sa medical. Though my visa ka na, u still need to undergo such procedure even f ur employer did not require you there. SOP kc pagdating dito that u undergo medical...Ipadaan mo rin POEA since working visa, process is not tedious. Kelangan mong dalhin PP, visa copy & Offer of Employment, PDOS certificate, cash of around PhP2400 to get your OEC. U rather go through these procedures than to take a short cut step tapos magkakaproblema ka sa immigration during ur actual deployment.

annie,

you got your visa by mail? directly from your husband? its in arabic for sure, so you need to go to the embassy for translation and authentication, dahil kailangan yun sa airport before departure. but this is my experience 3 years ago, maybe bago na ang rules?

Na recive ko po today yung family visa for my wife and 2 daughters (a 3 year old and a 5 month old repectively).

Para makasigurado eh tumawag ako sa phil embassy dito sa qatar. sabi nila eh kailangan pa ng affidavit of support together with the above said requirements.

Salamat po in advance.

Godbless.

my brother applied for a business visa under the sponsorship of Al Deera Travel Agency and paid 1,200QR. The visa he got for me was only for 1month stay in doha but can be renewed for one month for 1,200QR.

Here's the procedures after my brother got the visa for me:

1. he sent me a copy of the visa through e-mail.

2. i sent a copy of the visa together with my passport to the Qatar Embassy in Dasmarinas Makati through DHL (that's the only official courier service of qatar embassy) and paid 750.00.

3. after 7 days i received the authenticated visa from the qatar embassy makati.

4. then my brother booked me for a round trip ticket to doha, qatar. (ticket must be 2way otherwise mahold sya sa immigration sa naia)

After a month I went to Qatar. No need to have a medical exam or authentication of documents in manila, basta dala lang nya lahat ng original papers nya at dito na sa doha ang medical at authentication.

Important documents are as follows:

1. Visa from Doha Qatar

2. Authenticated Visa from Qatar Embassy Manila

3. Passport

4. Certification of Support from Al Deera

5. Diploma, Transcript of Records

6. NBI - international

7. Birth Certificate

8. Certificate of Employment from previous companies

9. Driver's License

10. Printed copy of airline ticket if booked in doha

If asked by immigration officer in naia, sabihin lang na business trip sya and dont mention na may kapatid sya sa doha.

Yon lang po.... i hope nakatulong ako...

hello po.

I got my printed visa from my employer.

Purpose of travel: VISIT

Visa type: Work Visa - one time visit

Duration of residence: 5 years

Hi Vinz,

I just submitted my passport, original medical, authenticated NBI and a printed copy of my visa to Qatar Embassy in the Philippines. According to DHL it will take around 5-7 days to receive my certificate. I was also able to talk to the people in the Qatar Embassy in the Philippines if it is okay to submit the printed copy of my visa, and they dont have any objection.

I have a questions to others, I already have a working visa from the company that sponsored me. (direct hiring). Do I still need to go to POEA for the processing of my OEC? Is it okay if I will just pay the travel tax in the airport and just process my papers in the Philippine Embassy in the Philippines.

Hope somebody can share.

Please advise. I have already my wife's visa, sponsored by the company.  According to some friends in the Philippines, I should send the original copy to my wife, becasue qatar embassy needs this. For visit visa, kailangan pb yung medical nya.  What other documents needed.  How many days will she wait if thru DHL?

according to our PRO

1) better to get a passport for the baby. If you opt to attach the pix of your baby to mom's passport, still you have to have it validated at DFA.

2)residence permit must be stamped within 90 days from entry date- this is applicable to children more than 3 months of age.

3) best to come back to Qatar within 2 months.

Goodluck.

As always, double check this info at the Phil Embassy.

salamat po ng marami sa info... i am glad to know na pwede palang magentry ang baby namin d2 together with my wife if she/he is not more than 3 months old... then i think we should change our plans of sending her back here after 4 months of giving birth... it is better to send her back here after 2 1/2 months of giving birth instead... and one more thing...

what do you mean residence permit must be stamped within 90 days from entry date? kelangan pa po ba stamped ung visa nya kahit 3 years ung validity? kakukuha lang po namin ng visa nya eh... expire pa un after 3 years... ibig ba sabihin pagbalik nya d2 pastamped pa ulit namin un? para saan?

Greetings and good day to all my kababayans,

I am so pleased to see a website where we can share and ask all this most important questions regarding our stay here in doha Qatar and for those who are planning to settle also here. Thank you so much sa mga isasagot niyo and more power to all pinoys overseas happy independence day. God Bless you all.

tanong ko lang po.i'm presently working here in doha under sponsorship ng company ko. magt-2 years na kc ako. balak kc ng husband ko na itransfer ang sponsorship ko sa kanya. im not sure kc kung bibigyan ako ng company ko ng NOC. kung nde naman, baka magresign na lang muna ako at uuwi muna ng pinas.

question ko po, makakapag-apply pa rin kaya kami ng husband's visa kahit wala akong NOC or release paper? ano pa kayang ibang requirements? how long it will be processed?

thanks in advance for your reply...

I just recently brought my wife and son here in Qatar. All u need to do is send the copy of visa, Marriage certificate (NSO), NBI, birth certificate (NSO) and Medical results to Qatar Embassy via DHL. The documents should be the original and a photocopy. If I am not mistaken they charge Php700 per person. They usually return the documents with the certification after a week. The price might be a little exepensive but at least u dont have to experience the same process I went through where u have to fall in line at the gate of Dasma Village early in the morning.

The process could be tedious but its all worth it once your here.

Regards.

Good for 3 months na yun.

Regards.

Nowadays all documents like marriage certificate, birth certificate should be issued and original from NSO then have it authenticated by Malacanang together with NBI, Diploma or certificate from schools or any other supporting documents DFA deals with passport and will tell you the procedure on what to do and where to go next. Medical should be submitted together with all your authenticated documents to Qatar Embassy in Philippines and will be ready within 5 working days.

other documents such as annulment or divorce papers also require an authentication, so when you found someone while abroad and want to settle down this things has to be done too.

Everything has to be authenticated nowadays as there's lots of fake documents even had an authentication from Malacannag etc. beware because when you submit fake documents in any Philippine Embassy in abroad they will report you!

Yeah i heard bout this agency thing, that you need to go through an agency to process ur certification in Qatar embassy there in Philippines.

A lot of hassle just to get here even jfor a tourist visa ( two weeks visa )

Just get an agency--known by the Qatar Embassy that can take your visa and all the other requirements. It would cost about less than 2kPHP per person. They're going to send it via DHL and it will take about 5 working days.

As per my last processing of papers--to be submitted to the Qatar embassy, of me and my mom before heading to Qatar;

1. We did a medical checkup (this takes about a week-maximum) at Angelus in Makati because it's near our place and they're fast,

2. Got our NBI for visit/resident visa, and also

3. Visa from MOI--here in Qatar, sent by my dad

4. Tickets (resident visas need not return tickets, e-tickets are fine)

**also, we didn't take Qatar Airways going here. It's cheaper if you take Emirates, you'll just have to wait for your connecting flight for around 1-2 hours in Dubai.

Enjoy Qatar when you get here! =)Cheers..

as far as I remember, malacanang first then DFA, if you'll go the "normal" way, 2 wks to wait from malacanang and 1 wk with DFA (more or less could not exactly remember), but you could have it done thru LBC or DHL, just present the doc to them and they'll arrange to have it authenticated from there you could ask the number of working days to process (what i remember is about 7-9 days)..

By migs_0577• 3 May 2007 12:07
migs_0577

yes, you have to have your NBI authenticated (just to make sure, coz some companys here do check NBI) and it would be wise to have it authenticated as well with DFA to avoid further hassles when you're already here..

By migs_0577• 3 May 2007 11:38
migs_0577

i'm not sure kung mga medical certificate, nbi and other documents required by the embassy... hindi ako sure eh pero meron ba talaga pina pa authenticate sa DFA?

They want a copy of visa issuance from Qatar.

Authentication of the following from Malacanang

NBI record,

Married certificate from NSO,

Baby's birth certificate from NSO.

Get both Marriage certificate and your baby's certificate from NSO then bring it to Malacanang for authentication.

You have to be there really early Dear, as the queue is very long. and after that they will ask you to come back after 3 days for releasing and you still have to queue.

Just keep dancing, it will do you good!

By angaray• 25 Apr 2007 11:17

gaya ni annie_dlrs, ako po ay nasa pinas pa ngayon, and hopefully, I and my baby will be leaving for doha soon under my Husband sponsorhip. Pwede ko po bang malaman kung anong mga documents ang hinihingi nang Qatar Embassy? gusto ko lang pong malaman para mai-prepare ko na nang maaga ang mga documents na nererequire nila. ano po ba ang dapat ko pang gawin? lalo na e nasa Mindanao pa po ako, and it will really take me a lot of time to prepare the necessary documents in Manila, since i am not familiar of the place.

Hope to hear all ur advises. tnx in advance...

Yes of course! you have to submit your visa to Qatar Embassy in Philippines that's a part of their processing. As I remember they will ask for your NBI and Medical Certificate from Accredited Hospital. and they will ask you to have it authenticated in Malacanang.

It's okay Azilana. No prob! (wink!)

To Annie: Maybe you can use those 5 days waiting period to go over your things and decide which to bring here. Those necessary things should be your priority, keeping in mind that you are only allowed to bring 20 kilos of baggage (that is for Qatar Airlines), otherwise you have to pay for the excess. When I went here, 3 days ang processing ng authentication sa Qatar embassy dyan sa atin and that was just only last year. I'm surprised to know that it will take 5 days now. Maybe because they have a load of authentications to do now since there seems to be a lot of Pinoys going here. I understand that you are really anxious to finally join your husband here but then again, I advise you to take your time and maximize whatever time is left for you to enjoy the things that you will be missing. In other words, pagsawaan mo na ang mga bagay na meron dyan sa atin na wala dito. Good luck on your preparations and have a safe journey ahead!

Honest mistake dearie...

I was accustomed to think that all pinoy members posting in QL are in Doha. It slipped my mind that folks back home do access this site.

Seriously, I stand corrected.

Going back to the topic, Seriously is right. You need to submit these documents for authentications with the Qatar Embassy. Go through the process and wag kang mainip if you'll wait 5 days for it.

To Everyone who replied: from what I understand about her question, she is asking for the need of documents submission to the QATAR embassy in the Philippines and not on the Philippine embassy here in Doha. Yes indeed there is a need to submit documents such as passport, visa, and medical certificates for authentication purposes. Any type of visa issued by the government of Qatar (working, family, visit, business) will all be authenticated and verifed by their embassy in the Philippines. I hope this clears it up to your query.
