Advice on Qatar Academy

Hi All

Can anyone give me any advice on Qatar Academy? All advice will be very welcomed. We are thinking of moving our daughter from another school to this school but I can't seem to find much in terms of advice as to the pro's and con's of this school are.

Does anyone have their kids there and can tell me what they think? Has anyone had kids at another school and made the transfer there, hence can make a comparison?

Thanks

QA is a great school, with studies and also extra-curricular activities, which they lay emphasis on. My 3 siblings are there. No regrets. 1 sister in final year of IB, she did her IGCSE in Cambridge School.

She studied previously in Australia at a primary school with an IB focus, so she has some IB experience. Her brother is studying in Austalia at an IB school and is doing very well.

The school she is currently attending here does not follow the IB system and is I think a cambridge system.

Although she is reasonably happy with her current school we feel that the quality has slipped, the fees keep rising every year, and there has been two changes of uniform in the last year with rumour that there is a new uniform for next year. Frankly I am just a bit fed up with it, and feel that the IB is going to ultimately be of more benefit to her in terms of university acceptance in Australia.

It's a good school, i've seen the facilities...they're great, and the academic ciriculum is pretty good, but how old is ur daughter ? cause if she's old I have to tell u that they work with the IB system so that might be a bit of a pain.
