HMC and visa application
So my husband signed a contract as a resident in the HMC last november. and we r still waiting to hear from the HMC about the visa. its been almost 2 months and everytime we call them to check on the visa process, they tell us that our papers (and many other's) r still in the ministry of interior.
we do have lots of friends who recently moved to qatar without any visa problems or delays. so where is the problem? is it seriously the ministry or is it the HMC?
anybody here works for the HMC and knows anything about the delays?
is it always like that or r we the only case?
shouldnt the HMC has some ppl to keep on checking the visa and bring it out ASAP?
Hi Madam
Assalamualaikum
Where is ur husband working now?
is it at HMC?
sorry guys for the delay, thats because we gave the whole thing up after we were told that our visa application was rejected!
i have no idea how these people work and on what basis they accept or reject their applicants.
anyway, when we called the HMC back, we were told that they have signed a letter and sent it to the ministry again to let them recheck their list explaining that they r so much in need for those selected doctors hoping that they will reconsider their decision.
the funny thing that they assured us that the rejection and reapplying thing has become a habit, and they always do that.
the whole thing took 8 months so far, ever since they were interviewed up till this moment.. this is crap!
i started as a volunteer in hmc way back 2003, they gave me 4 months for it and after 2 months they finally gave me the job offer and i was sent back to the philippines from which i was then advised to go to the agency in manila to have all the benefits as a foreign hired..it took me 8 months to finally have the working visa & the same thing they told me that my files are still on the process and they didnt actually explained why it took that long..and also with the help of my father, from which that time is workin here in qatar, he is the one who's always calling them regarding my visa for almost everyday...it's really a long wait but what kept me hoping is the thought of being with my family that time...
remember...patience is a virtue...
of likes and dislikes, there should be no disputing... live and let live!
Wow! That's a tragic situation... You mean your friend got through the test, interview, got into a residency program etc... signed his contract and was still not issued an iqama? Does this happen often at HMC to doctors coming in on business / visit visas?
Mais2002, did your husband get his iqama / residence permit?
one of my friend joined the resident program in HMC, he came here by business visa by his fathers's sponser, after three months he left back home cuz they didn't issue him the iqama.
