How to get a new Car in Qatar!

Hi Guys

I am moving to Qatar in weeks time and need some advises on buying a car.

I am thinking of buying a decent car used or new through a bank loan of 1500QAR as monthly installments. Do you think i can afford a decent car for this price or should i increase this bit more to get a good one. I am thinking of buying either Japaneese or European cars. Doesnt matter, but it should be fit for road.

Also, do you think i can buy this car before my residence permit is issued or i have to wait until i get one.

Please clarify.

Thanks very much.

Cheers

For 1500 you can buy the new toyota camry which is a nice car, but you do need your rp in order to buy a new car as well as a driving licence.

Would you like to buy Asian Games cars, try Toyota or Ford dealers.

Toyota dealer is located near Doha International Airport. The market is called Abdul-Ghany Tower as I know.

Thanks very much for your excellent advise. I would definetely consider buying a used car rather than buying a new one. ta.

now im no expert on cars but for sure its easy to get a new car out here and one on the budget you are talking about! I believe Xena would be good to ask she is on the forum and has been car hunting!

Put it this was i am leasing a car at the moment for 1700 a month ( thats like hiring a car) and i kick myself everyday for doing this and not buying one! Your doing the right thing!

Just remeber that a car loses its value a new one as soon as you drive it so if your planning on selling it on in the near future then buy a second hand one!

love life!
