yoga classes
Hi all,
I'm moving to Doha in August and I'm keen to find out ahead of time what elements of my current life will carry over. I currently take yoga classes a few times a week--is there any place to do that in Doha? Iyengar yoga and Anusara yoga would be best, but from what this board has taught me so far, there may not be many options...
Thanks so much!
also, one other question: my husband won't survive if he can't see the Minnesota Twins play. Is there any chance I can purchase a subscription package through one of the satellite TV providers?

I am also living in AL-Khor and i am doing practices of yoga & relaxation from few years. I would like to share and teach those pracitices. Mobile No-3436910.
I'm not sure where in Al Khor we'll be .. one thing on the long list of questions for our employer.
I haven't been to Athens for a while, but it can get to around 54 degrees in Bourke (outback NSW), where we used to live .. not often, admittedly, but it happens. When we first moved there, the daytime temperature didn't drop below 44 for two weeks - and the night temperature wasn't much better! Thank the lord for air conditioning!
I'm thinking that Australia and Athens have nothing on Qatar when it come to heat in Aug!
Where in Al Khor will you be living?
but having been living in the outback of NSW, Australia, I'm prepared for the heat! Plus, we're going to Athens in July for training first so I guess the July Athens heat will prepare us a little!
I'd be interested in Yoga classes too - I'll be living in Al Khor so would need something near there. Pilates would be good too.

thanks so much for your help on the baseball front! I know my work is setting me up in a compound so maybe I'll get lucky there and find someone who teaches yoga...
August seems pretty rough. I can't imagine what it must have been like before air conditioning!
Thanks again. If anyone else has tips, I'd love to hear them...
First, I would like to say what a fun, fun month to move here. :) Nice and warm.
I don't know what kind of yoga classes they have here but I have read that they have some at the hotels as well as ladies offering them at their compound, etc.
You can get some version of Fox Sports and ESPN here. It's hard (impossible?) to find a program schedule so it's just luck of the draw with what comes on. At least in our experience. He might could watch them over the internet.
