You mention in the end of your last rant that "did i mention arabs to go with guys ? if u r free enough go with who ever u like if u have no pride" but its ok for you to post trying to find women so you can cheat on your wife, ergo you have no pride in yourself??!!

And why shouldnt Aisha do things that foreigners do? Or do you believe that all foreigners are mad pagan sex slaves? Judging from your posts I can generalise that you are the type of man that would pester women in the desert!

Wake up to the real world, women are no longer slaves of men and have a will and a mind of their own, they are also allowed to speak out and say what they think.

I truly feel sorry for you, you are a small minded bigot, stating for Aisha not to do what the "Foreigners" do also makes you a racist.

We came we saw we were Qatarized

The guy who is trying to cheat on his wife is lecturing about dignity? Very nice.

I don't see how going on a girls night out to the desert harms anyones reputation, get out of the stone age qatar127.

well, thanks guys for offending me, u both dont have the courage to say the truth, or not fear about your sisters and brothers, we arabs are proud of our sisters and brothers and afraid of their reputation, i didnt mean for aisha to stick at home and not to do anything, she did nice stuff really i admit but not to do things that forigners do, w ehave our traditional still, and for you sam i am u guys dont have any respect, bunsh of people who climb on others or work using thier girl friends, no dignety at all.. and u QALOVE,did i mention arabs to go with guys ? if u r free enough go with who ever u like if u have no pride

There is nothing wrong with a Girls-Day/Night out.

And 5 girls are not more & not less for a 4x4 wheel drive especially as you would be carrying the snacks & luch baskets & also the Cool-Can holding all the cold (or hot) drinks.

Dont forget to hire 1 or 2 buggys (for QR250 per hour each). You could take turns riding it.

Its always better if any of you could lay your hands on GRAMIN Nuvi 660 or the like GPS tracking device (cost QR 2500) or atleast a bare minumim Compass as it is very easy to get disorinted in the desert as all the dunes looks almost the same, even for people who are used to travelling in the desert.

Check that your cell phones are charged full & you are carrying it with you at all times. Though you wont be able to use it if too deep into the desert.

Wear Hats (with loops that wont fly off) rather than Caps & very dark sun-shades for your eyes. Even in winter the sun can be very bright unless covered in clouds.

If you could take a big foldable tent (as seen in Carrefour, City Center) it would be excellent as on a windy day all your paper/plasitc plates & cups would fly away.

Also taking photos (if any)in the desert is not much fun unless you have the sun behind you at all times.

Do take a couple of big plastic bag to throw trash in - just tie it up & leave it there as there are people who are employed to take away the trash (they also carry these bags just in case you forget to carry it with you).

Make a noise & enjoy yourself.

Of course you girls will get a lot of attention form the guys -as always.

& Happy desert safari.

Aisha, well said, girl. this guy claims he is a qatari - would he be so happy if any of his sisters or his wife went around with some "cute guys" to the desert or other places? i don't think so. and good on you to organize charitable events and ladies gatherings, while sticking to your culture and traditions and making all your relatives proud. i admire you, aisha.

“are you crazy or something”

No qatar127, I'm not crazy. YOU ARE! With all the contradictions you’re making here!

I (unfortunately) already told the girls (in my first post here) that I can't go to the desert SO I do know the traditions very well. Actually I spoke with Xena earlier IN PERSON about my options :-) I'm not sure whether the culture you're talking about allows a girl to go "wihtout any CUTE guys to go with" qouted from YOU. Did I miss that you meant our parents and husbands in that statement of yours??. However, I DO go to the other girls outings. As a matter of fact I did arrange ladies gatherings before and they all went great. My parents think it’s great too. I did arrange two "mixed" charitable gatherings for QL members before and published reports on them in the news papers with MY NAME on them. I remember my very religious uncle (Fahad :-) ) was so proud of me :-) :-)

Whether I get married or not is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, qatar127.

girls dont pay attention to qatar127. in this time and age we are perfectly comfortable without men protecting us and watching our every step. i went dune driving with a bunch of girlfriends last weekend and going tomorrow too - we were 7 girls and we had 4 suv cars and we went all the way to the inland sea and back without any problems, and we enjoyed our bbq and sliding down the dunes! so enjoy your outing and leave him be. he's just jealous!

Just read your last message.

For the record I'm engaged to be married this year, so I am not looking for anyones attention. Nor do I believe any of the girls here need defending. You are sexist and living in the past.

It seems you have a problem with independent women, have you been hurt in the past ? Can you not forgive them ?

DOnt know what happend to girls these days, trying to prove them selfs agains men, well women will always be women , our moms and the soft side in our life, nothing will change it, so leave the hard work for menm dont know why putting your self in men places, and all men defending girs here you guys are so betahtic, i guess you are looking for support from girls coz u didnt get it from anybody else and think that the girls here would love u and date u haaaaaaaaaaa, look somewhere else man coz no girl here is worth it...... they want to be men. and we will get pregnant ha ha ha funny yeah, ich bin frau ya das ist gut

Qatar127 - I'm not sure if you are saying these things in humour, or attention seeking ? But either way you are making yourself look foolish and immature.

By ducky• 15 Feb 2007 20:25
ducky

You mean people are actually making plans and living lives that don't include me? I can't believe it. Don't they know that my presence enhances every gathering? I'm deeply hurt. The world is evil....the end is near. :-)

Seriously, though, the big issue here is that people shouldn't make needless comments on threads. If one has nothing useful to contribute, then leave things well enough alone.

Qatar127, I'd like to suggest the following: first, buy a few rubberbands and put them on your wrist. Then, the next time you feel the need to express irrelevent comments, especially derogatory and insulting ones, snap one of the rubberbands - repeat as often as necessary until the feeling to post the useless comment goes away.

If you were truly concerned about the ladies safety, you should have just said so and listed the reason why. This would have been appreciated much more. Again, I don't know if you were just trying to be funny or if you truly have radical conservative views. If you were trying to be funny, then why not just apologize for inadvertently offending so many? That would be a truly admirable course of action.

"I will also always fail to understand why threads become targets for people to air their unsolicited views."

Thanks girls.... well that's what qatari127 thinks we are, as he believes we cannot take care of ourselves....

Hehehe.... yes gypsy... gonna sit watching and waiting for Ali Baba to come and kidnap me.... hey, as long as he keep me in the style that I would like to become accustomed to.... meaning making sure he dresses me in Vasace, buys me a Hummer and a palace...."here I am Ali...., come and get me...."

:-)

X

Ooh.... and before I forget.... who exactly do you think you are qatar127, telling aisha that she must go and get herself a husband? That statement made me see that you are clearly very old fashioned in your thoughts and see women as your subordinates....

Aisha will make some man a very good wife one day... but she is no where near ready for that kind of commitment... She is too dedicated to her causes right now.... and she is doing a wonderful job... it would be a waste of her talents to head off to become and wife and mother before she has achieved the greatness she is striving for....

I know I'm just another voice talking to a brick wall, but I can't help myself from asking:

qatar127, why is this any of your business?

A group of people are organizing a trip to the desert. You are not invited. That's all that's going on.

I don't know if you're aware of this, but a lot of things happen that you are not invited to. Last night I saw a table of six women having dinner. Did they even tell you about it? I am going to a movie with two of my friends this weekend. Are you upset we didn't ask you what film you wanted to see? The family who lives next door to me is off to India for a week. I bet they didn't even buy you a ticket.

I really don't understand why this matters to you at all.

Ha ha ha, Ive not laughed so much in ages!!! Ducky...you go girl!!!! qatar127, you seriously need to deflate that HUGE head of yours!!!

Just because a few of us havent typed our replies here on the thread registering our interests in going, doenst mean that Xena's attempts were fruitless. We actually have 5 girls all lined up rearing to go, not to mention those of us on the site!!

The assumption that we are all lesbians must appeal to mr qatar127...now we know why he is so disappointed that he cant join us in the desert!! As for Ali Baba, he will definitely be declined by a group of lesbians Im sure!!!

If this thread is anything to go by, I think we are going to have a fabulous time...and perhaps, just maybe, we might invite a few selected GUYS to join us!!!! (purely for protection purpose of course!!)

Oi, Novita...since when is hubby gay? Fishing with men!! How dare he be so open about his sexuality in public like that!!!! God forbid we ever do anything without men hey!!!

When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.

Ok lets get this straight, because Xena has organised a female only trip without inviting men that makes them lesbians mmmmm.

Qatar127, you sound like the sort of man that loves himself so much that if a woman isnt interested in you then they are instantly lesbians wow you have such a high opinion of yourself.

Let me bow down at the sight of you as you must be in running for Brad Pitt lookalike of the century.

Women dont always need the company of a man to have fun you know, and why would it be scary for women to be out in the desert alone? the only thing they need to fear is idiotic men that would come and try and scare them or sexually harras them....someone say that thinks cos they are there by themselves they must be lesbians??

We came we saw we were Qatarized

By Xena• 14 Feb 2007 15:42

why threads become targets for people to air their unsolicited views.

I was not requesting for this threat to become a mud slinging. I was asked to organise a ladies night out in the desert and that is what I am setting out to do. I don't want or need sexists comment from any of the men here....

For those of you that have met me and know me...you will realise where I am coming from with all this... for those of you that don't.... You won't understand...

Your input was completely unnecessary and rude. Your backwards thinking is not appreciated. It has no bearing on the topic.

However, let's look at what you said:

Your comment: women can't live without men unless they're lesbians....and a bunch of girls going to a desert is scary.

Obviously, to you, women must be lesbians if they want to coordinate activities that don't include men. Let me turn this around: I'm quite sure that you've gotten together with your male friends, in a male-only environment. By your way of thinking, that must mean you are gay. How's that working for you?

You have obviously not even thought about that fact that there are other women on this forum who, because they're married or due to their culture or other reasons, don't want to get together in a mixed setting. Xena was being considerate - something that completely escaped your notice.

Why is the thought of a bunch of women going to the desert scary?

If your intent was to be funny, it was a total failure.

qatar127

We men cant live without women, and you women cant live without men, unless you girls are lesbians ? dont know but this is the normal life..... we admit it, we need women to complete the cirlce of life. And what i was meaning about going no girls wana go to a trip without guys i wasnt talking about married females or sick females who dont like men, but i just wanted to Tease Xena that no one wants to go to just sit and bla bla bla, when some one wants to go out they wana have fun, play sports or do something, but a bunsh of girls going to a desert it is scary !
