Cricket in Qatar

Hi guys,

I'm from Pakistan and naturally i'm a cricket crazy fan. I would just like to know if there is any cricket action going on around Doha? Any clubs, any league, any fun cricket? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed that almost every weekend there is a lot of street cricket played in the large parking area east of the Al Sadd Stadium.

yeah, i'm really into cricket too...

my prob is my mom's pakistani and my dad's indian... so cricket is a must for me!

do people play in neighborhoods and stuff though? i mean i'm not sure about going to a club and playing professional cricket, i prefer private 'street' games, they're much more fun imo!

On Friday at 13h00 there is a match at the Rugby Club. It will be SA vs Rest of the World.

Like you I am also from PAK and crkt crazy. Bad news PAK ALL OUT 107 against SA..lets hope the bowlers do some miracales.

To your query regarding cricket in qatar,there is association in Qatar, Qatar Cricket Association which organize different tournaments. It is registered with Qatar Olympic Association and is responsible for all the cricket activtivies in Qatar. The matches are usually held on weekends near the Golf Course and there is good crowd from sub-continent. The results of this matches do appear in the print media.
