The other day i checked a villa in Ummsalal Mohammed, its small but the landlord wants 15000 for a three bedroom villa or else KHALAAS it seems not worth it dude

Despite the cost of living life's still popular!

So, is it worth living outside Doha, commuting into the city? Are rents sufficiently lower to make a real difference?

Look who's back with new accommodation ads.. Is this the same Safwany who posed as some official agent and Terramax almost had to be on the street in the middle of the night??

Don't deal with Safwany, unless you want to get into trouble. He rented me an apartment which he was not allowed to rent (subrented from another person, who was not even paying the building owner), and me and my wife were almost thrown out to the street by the building owner in the middle of the night after 3 months of living there and duly paying to Safwany.

Thank god I was able to convince the owner to sign a contract with me and continue living at my place. Also the deposit which Safwany took from me for the apartment was very difficult to get back and I actually had to threaten him with legal action to get my money back.

Now when I learned my lessons, my advise - be careful. Always ask for the building registration with the owners name in it (usually in Arabic) and make sure that your rental contract has same landlord name. If not ask agent or whoever is taking care of it to see an authorisation from the landlord to this person to rent this specific house/apartment.

Wakrah isn't far from Doha. I live near the airport, and I reach Wakrah in 10 minutes of driving. It's a nice place in summer, I swim a lot there.
