I am debating right now on leasing a new car or buying a used one...i will only be here for 1 or 2 years.  I was wondering if anyone had any experiences buying used cars at the showrooms on Salwa?

Personally, I won't buy a new car, Qatar streets suck, many holes and humps. If you have a new car, you'll feel bad everytime you drive on a hump or a deep hole.

Check this website, it helps you finding a used car. But becareful, their prices are so unreal, you can reduce price QR 20K easily. http://qatarshow.com

Be smart, take family and friends' opinions before you decide which car, and how much it costs. Good luck.

This decision depends on the amount of money you intend to invest in car. In my opinion, it is always beneficial to have own car but leased car also has its own advantages like immidiate replacement in case of any problems. However, even over a 2 year period, it is a more expensive solution.

If you want to save a little amount of money, go for buying a car. If you want to avoid headaches during accidents (too many are there nowadays considering doha traffic) go for leasing.
