Hi I'm looking for foreign people who works as a cabin crew in Qatar airways to share their experience in terms of working, treatment , your accomodation ( do you have your own room ) Is the apartment Ok? . And also how's your life in Qatar (is it worth it?).

Because I have a possibility of working as a cabin crew also in Qatar Airways and I'm wondering I'f you could help me with my questions would really appreciate it.

BTW I'm from Hong Kong.

Thank's in advance!

Well being a man, you might have a totally different experience here, after all we are in the Gulf so women are second class citezens so as a man you may very well be allowed to paint the town red, go crazy and have the best time of your life. What I said about accomodation is true just you would be in an all male building.

I would actually change my opinion and say you would have a whale of a time. My negative view comes from the fact that I have heard fist hand accounts of the company trating people badly.

The pay is still rubbish though.

Sorry mate. I don't know anyone who works there. Alot of people assume i work there though, to the point its getting frickin' annoying! They see a tall young white girl in Qatar? She must be a flight attendant for Qatar airways!

Are you sure that aviduserv that I'm gonna share a flat with a girl because that would be a tempting offer but unfortunately I know that's impossible because they don't allow a guy and a girl to stay in the same flat (FYI aviduser i'm a guy..) but for the rest of your statement I appreciate it thanks.

Anybody else who could share their experience and stuff....

Qatar airways treat their cabin crew with contempt. There is no way to sugar coat how badly and how many rules and regulations that will restrict you while working for Qatar airways.

My advice would be to wait until you Qualify for another airline.

If you did come here you can expect to share a flat with one other girl in an all girl building. You will get your own room and most of the accomodation blocks have swimming pools.

Only do it if you really cannot find another airline to fly with, you will find it restictive frustrating and annoying.

They dont even pay that well, for all the freedom you have to give up its just not worth it.

Actually I would like to work in Cathay Pacific but unfortunately I don't have some requirements that they needed..

Are you from Doha? Do you feel bored there? (The single guys on this forum whinning that the place is boring :-)) Why do they say that? is it because there are few woman out there or is it becoz there's nothing to do?

BTW what about my 1st questions?

why do u want to work for Qatar Airways ... why not Cathay Pacific? If you are originally from Hongkong, you will find Doha would be too slow and boring for you. The single guys on this forum whinning that the place is boring :-)
