40% Salary Increase for Locals and 20% for expats

Hi All,

I heard from my colleagues that there will be a 40% increase in the salary of all Qatari government employees, and a 20% salary increase for expats to take effect in the next couple of months.

How true is this?

I thought the 40 pc increase was for government employees, both locals and expatriates. How unfair would it be, otherwise?

I dont know about the expats...I heard about the locals increase but not the expats.
