I am from India and got an offer to join the ditorial team of the newly launched Qatar Tribune. They are offering me Basic: 4500 QR, Transport 1,000 QR and Professional
Allowance of 500.
The total works out to 6000 QR. This I shall receive in hand.
Besides,
The housing provided is 3,000 QR plus air tickets plus they will take care of health, gratituity etc.

wanted to know from someone in Qatar/Doha, if this is good enough for a good living?

so miz4ever, I will be staying alone in Doha, but would U tell me how much I would spend a month on food, pubbing once a week, movies in a theatre, services like maid and cable tv and frequent calls to India and perhaps short weekend holiday a month? and if I buy a mid sized car, what would be the monthly EMI etc?

Out here in India,I live a upwardly mobile life with my own house in the suburbs, a big car, partying out, once a year foreign holdays etc...

Good Luck!!
