Because if she go back first in the Phillipines the immigration there is very strict and also making problem for overseas workers. I have a friend finished contract who worked in singapore he receives employment letter here in qatar then he receives visa. he go directly here in qatar because if he still go back in philippines, there to much drama in immigration..

Check with your agency. Sometimes, if visas are not available, then you may have to wait a little longer. As long as the visa is available, then you are good to go.

It depends on the availability of visa of the company you will be working for. It can be a day or it can be a month. Good luck!

Last month i got a job offer to work in qatar. I've done medical, signing draft contract, nbi authenticated both dfa and Qatar embassy.i gave all documents needed including my passport. When i follow up to my agency here in manila they just said the employer is still processing tha job order in qatar. and then they are waiting for that to process in poea. Btw this company will just be open this june.. (employer told us in interview).my question is how long it takes to get job order..its almost 3weeks when i signed contract. And one more thing.. is it possible to agency or employer to apply working visa without job order?

Hi i am from India, and i am female aged 22 years. I heard that females with age 18 to 30 doesnt get a business visa to Qatar. Can u please confirm me on the same since i need a Business visa for three months. And need to fly very soon. If i wont get business visa, is there any other possibilities for getting other type of visa for three months stay there. Please help me out on the same at the earliest. so no turning back. The three months means you will undergoe the usual probationary period and if they feel or see you a potential long-term employee, you will proceed with the pocedures for obtaining a residence permit (RP) and it will be a yearly renewal for the company to handle.

Karen, since you are to work in connection for food handling, maybe they will scrutinize your medical result more. But if you were already given a clearance there, then maybe it's just because of the holidays. Be patient.

I am currently here in the UAE and have resigned from my job here because I received an employment in Qatar. However I havent receive my working visa yet not until i submitted to them the copy of my cancellation of the visa i am holding now. Suddenly i found a thread concerning the type of working visa that most of the persons having the similar case of mine only receive a visa with only 3 months validity. Is it normal? Should i be alarmed about this?

I have the same case as natastreb. I am from Saudi and I got a visa from a company in Doha. According to the company in Doha, I could come directly to Qatar without going to the home country. I posted my inquiry at other thread and someone responded that he has the same case and was able to enter Qatar directly.

What do you mean by Employement Visa? There is no such thing as employement visa...it must be a Visit visa for family members,Visit visa for wives and children,Work visa under the sponsorship of companies and institutes,Work visa under personal sponsorship(servants and others..),Return visa,Tourist visa,Business visa,Multi-visit visa,Visa for companions of GCC nationals....any of the above mentioned visas requires you to undergo authentication process to Qatar Embassy in Manila, the embassy will also provide you other procedure for you to have a legal exit in our Immigration in Manila. Other option is to take the service of a travel or recruitment agency(authorized)in Manila and let them do the documentations but of course you need to payout for the service.

It all applies if your point of origin is Manila, which is a lot complicated than entering Qatar from Dubai(as point of origin).

I today got a visa which is a work visa and allow me to enter Qatar within six months and it says it is valid for 4 years. Apparently it is a work visit visa. Please somebody clarify me,

Is this valid for three months only and should my employee

It is really hard to wait and wait, without knowing anything about your Visa and the date you gonna leave...as a matter of fact i work for a TV station here in Lebanon and when i got the contract from Jaz i told them that i have to go but i didnot resign.

Now everyday they ask me, when are you leaving and as you know i have no damn answer...

Basically you've been issued a visa that allows you to enter Qatar to take up employment.

After you arrive your employer has three months in which to complete the formalities to get you a work/residence permit.

A work visit visa is essentially a business visa for people who have work to do but don't intend to settle in the country.

Residence permits are usually issued to non-employable residents such as minors with their family etc.

However all these are interchangeable.

The bottom line is what matters is getting into the country and going through the procedures for a residence/work permit. These include the obligatory medical and police registration. All are handled by the sponsor/employer.
