Hi

i am in the process of negotiating a package.

The salary is USD$12100/month and an allowance of $USD 3100/month  for accomodation.

I have a wife and 18 month old twins and thinking that compound villa style living would be the way to go. Are these types of villa located close to the centre of Doha ? What would be the approximate monthly cost of hiring a driver if we chose not to buy or hire a car?

I would be grateful for any feedback.

If you're serious I'll talk to the guy's temporary replacement and check with the original driver once he's back.

I'm pleased you lot think his salary is alright. It equates to (including housing allowance) about £160,000 a year if you were earning it in the UK and were going to be taxed on it.

I think he'll manage

The driver's on vacation for a couple of months now but if you know anyone who needs one in that price range by October let me know. Driver only.

800 a month with a car not many of them left we have to pay 2700qr and then another 2000qr for the car but the driver does work from 7-7!

I don't know about the driver, dohagirl. I know a guy who pays his driver 800/month but he also provides the car.

Your salary is fine, you should be able to find a nice villa for that. I live in a compound and I like it. As for being close to the center of Doha...I guess they are, it's really hard to say since DOha does not have a center to speak of and is pretty spread out. You will pay maybe 600Qr to a 1000Qr a month for a driver.
