Looking for work as a nurse
Hi,
My partner & I are coming ot live in Qatar in August 2006. I have a teaching contract, but so far he does not have a job. He is a nurse with qualifications in intensive care, paramedic & emergency care, aero medical and ambulance retreivals as well as comunity nursing and other specialist areas such as aged care and psychiatric quals. Does anyone have any contacts/ideas about how he can go about getting employment in Qatar? He has also had experience working in mines and would be interested in off shore work on oil/gas rigs in and around the area.

BTW if you guys are not married he cannot come here under your sponsorship so he will have to find his own job if he wants to join you.
He should have a look at the individual company's website sites such as QP, Shell and other petrolum companies I cannot think of names at moment, they usually have a vacancies page. I know QP always have nurse vacancies. Be prepared for a low wage if he is local hire. It is best if he applies from australia - he will get better conditions.
Other wise check out the Hamad Hospital website and apply online.
